The SRT8 is the "high performance" division of Chrysler (which owns Jeep). In this case, it's less about four wheeling and more about speed - The new Grand Cherokee SRT8 gets 0-60 in five seconds.

LOL, ya that's it. They also did the same thing with the Caravan and Grand Caravan, although those vehicles are even more similar, other than a different wheelbase and door / seat configuration.

Just like the Cherokee, which hasn't been made since 2001, they also did a reboot of the Dodge Dart last year and it appears to be selling like shit. They seem to think they can just relaunch something new and shitty using an old name and it will sell. They hoped for sales of 100,000 and I think they just barely broke 25,000.

They're lucky they have their trucks and minivans to keep them afloat or they'd be really fucked.

Grand Caravan has a longer wheelbase, as far as I know, unless I am thinking of just the older models. Maybe they are the same now.

Edit: I just did a search and I think they have scrapped the Caravan models altogether, they are all Grand Caravans now.
