That is an understatement. We're not even in the library looking for the same book.

the "tea party" is grassroots bottom up organization. It sprang up when Santelli got on CNBC and called for Tea party's across America to oppose Obama's big government agenda. That was in 2009 and people rallied in state capitols and local groups were setup. The first real tea party though was held by Ron Paul supporters during his presidential campaign in Dec 2007.

It has absolutely nothing to do with Koch. Although Koch contributes to a lot of politicians in congress and a lot of Republicans were elected in 2010 on a tea party wave when the TEA party helped take the House and held it in 2012. Senate candidates like Rand Paul, Mike Lee and Ted Cruz also won their races and are considered Tea Party and anti-establishment.

There is no one "funding" the Tea Party. The Tea Party is just loosely affiliated with the GOP because they're a major party and (supposed to be ) conservative leaning. Most Tea partiers are trying to cleanse their local and state GOP of the establishment dinosaurs and party bosses and probably spend more time doing that than fighting Democrats

the ACA is not going to save any money.

It was written BY the insurance companies and is a scam.

Premiums are increasing 30-40% and it hasn't even been implemented yet.

Kids in their 20's are going to be paying thousands a year for health insurance THEY DO NOT NEED.

Retail and restaurant workers will have their hours reduced en masse to 29 hours so employers can avoid the costly mandate.

Nothing in life is free. No law can circumvent the market or "reduce costs" the ACA is designed to increase costs and make money for the drug and insurance industrieis.

You've been scammed by a smooth talking politician.

People will notice this year and next when it's up and running.

States who are taking the Federal bribe to expand Medicare coverage will have massive bills to pay when funding is reduced.

In case you hadn't noticed the Federal government is running a 1 trillion deficit and has a 16 trillion debt. They can't afford to expand this coverage and the funding will be cut further down the line leaving states bankrupt.

There will be huge doctor shortages with newly expanded Medicare coverage. Everyone will have to get in line and quality of care will be reduced.

It won't be pretty. But Utopia is just a dream Obama is selling. Healthcare will get worse and states will be bankrupt.

That will be the costly legacy of 'Obamacare'.

Chief Justice Roberts has a lot to answer for.

Did you read the article at all? Do you think it was just a matter of random chance that CES a group funded and created by Big Tobacco & the Koch Bros just happened to launch a site called USTeaParty.com 10 years ago and also intended to start a fake grass root movement under that name?

Is it just random chance that once again the 2 main lobby groups that make up the current Tea Party came about by splitting up CES and that many of their key players were key players in CES?

Is it once again random chance that the tax reform that is pushed by the current Tea Party is what was created by the former CES?

It's just like trying to say just because someone is Republican and that they are active locally in politics, that they have no ties to the GOP. They might not have direct ties to that group individually but by supporting the group you are supporting the GOP.. or in this case by pushing the Tea Party locally they are pushing the agenda set by Americans for Prosperity & Freedomworks which = big Tobacco & Koch Bro lobbyist group.

What the Koch brothers do with their billions is up to them .

What I can tell you is that local tea parties at the grassroots have nothing to do with the Koch brothers.

Go to a local tea party event and see for yourself. They're just normal people who are fed up with both parties and are working hard to identify and find good candidates to send to state houses and to D.C.

They also educate many Americans about the constitution. Whether it's the 2nd Amendment, the 10th Amendment (i.e states dont have to put up with the crap coming from Washington), the 4th Amendment or whatever.

If Koch then funds them later on then all the better. It helps their candidates if they have some money to compete with the ESTABLISHED candidates.

Note that the unions and organized labor fund the Democrat Party and lets not even get into all the crony capitalism where Obama's donors are receiving direct taxpayer subsidies with things like Solyndra. The Democrats are awash with corporate cash.
