I repeat... The Marriot was sold out before this one went on sale, spring training visitors. I called there when the forum dates were announced and it was fully booked.

Maybe this is it?

The Sheraton Four Points is pretty cheap and like 2 miles away... Didn't have a problem getting a taxi back there at night last year.

For everyone staying off site, there is a rather nice towncar service called Uber. I use it all the time in Seattle. But basically you can request a towncar from your smartphone and it shows it on a map as its on it's way, plus gives you text when its nearby, when it will be there, etc. Also you can add a personal card + a business card and it will send you an email receipt for each trip. A little more pricey than a taxi but highly reliable.

$10 off your first ride too with uberpromo as the promo code:

Was going to suggest that one. I stayed there a few years back. Decent place.

I rented a car though.

Terrible hotel wifi, I wish my cell had gotten in instead :(

A nice person volunteered his second bed though, so I'm good.

Booked!

Best Show of the year.

Trafficshop is proudly sponsoring again this year.

NikKay 01-31-2013 07:44 AM

They really should start charging at least a reservation hold fee for this event upfront.

Can't be Spring Training. The TPF is a week later this year and the MLB regular season has already started. Diamondbacks on the road that weekend as well.

That's what I was told when I called. Seems some people got rooms there, it's possible I spoke to someone who was misinformed.

spunky99 01-31-2013 10:05 AM

www.tempefestivalofthearts.com is the same weekend as the forum again, this could be why the hotel was fully booked
