iphone backup question

Gf had her iphone die. Got a new one at the store and went to restore it, ended up syncing the new one over her old data. Basically losing everything

I am trying to help fix this disaster. Does anyone know if you were to do a windows restore, would that bring back the old sync? or is this situation shit out of luck?

I did that with my new phone. I use the cloud so I enabled that. Went in to the cloud options and deleted the new backup. Restored with the old one.

If you use pc backup try to find the backups. Shift+click the restore button in iTunes and select the backup. Or delete all backups except the one you want to keep.

Donno if this will work though. Never tried it.

You can do a restore through Itunes and choose a previous backup. It keeps several backups. I always suggest doing a complete backup monthly to the computer and in between to icloud. I recently got a new iphone and did a full restore from iTunes choosing the last full backup to the computer and it was perfect.
