If you want to split a big movie in smaller chunks, i found this is a perfect solution:
http://mpgtx.sourceforge.net Small DOS program that is pretty fast. |

hrm, with tmpgenc ic an only get my 14 second clip down to 2.5 megs, thats way too large for such a small film
