Are any adult video companies fighting Kazaa?

Are they? or are they just letting the music industry fight that battle and hope they win so they can benefit too?

I'm talking about companies like Vivid and Private that shoot tons of porn videos and they're all over Kazaa.

Anybody know what they're doing?

They are doing two things about this: Jack - and Shit.

Kazaa is a Mecca for the smaller people that run paysites. You see all kinds of short video clips with their url plastered on them.

Talk about great advertising, but you will not see any big, reputable companies doing this on there.

I've always though the porn companies probably can't be bothered fighting most copyright violations. It just isn't worth it. Porn videos have a very short lifespan, after 1 year on the market, they aren't worth a whole lot, unlike music or movies. People listen to the same songs for decades, people watch movies from 30 years ago, but nobody is gonna be watching Teen Butt Fuckers #17 for more than a few years.

Soooo....my thinking is that the big companies are just focasing more on making new videos instead of wasting time fighting over the copyright infringement of some video they shot 5 years ago.

No adult video companies have the kind of money to fight the Kazaa's.

question is would they do anything even if they did have that kind of scratch.

forget about Kazaa, if the adult video companies wanna make some big easy cash just take a quick surf around the Net and there's millions awaiting them in copyright infringements by jerkoffs running these movie archive paysites and AVS systems that you see growing every day in numbers.

There's more money to be made suing thieves than there is in making porn

Only if the thieves you're suing actually have any money.

It seems hardly worth it to sue some 15 year old TGP gallery submitter from russia that uses video content he got off of Kazaa to make video galleries with.

I can see suing a big AVS or paysite, that might be worth it.

I think they just put most of their effort into cranking out new videos instead of managing a team of lawyers to protect the old ones they have.
