Anyone short selling Apple Stock?

AAPL looks like its running out of investors to buy into the momentum. Also, many hedge funds are unloading. It's still fundamentally a great stock but way over valued.... Anyone shorting this bad boy?

I would have, If I could have. EPS of 44 is amazing, but seems there is too much competition now.

Good I can't do options though. I would have tried to short it at $200 a share a long time ago, And I would have lost.

Apple has lost just over 25% of its value since its peak in September just 2 months ago. Which means it's lost about $126 billion in value.

That loss is bigger than the entire net worth (market cap) of BP, Toyota, Vodafona, Ambev, Verizon, GSK, Visa, Pepsi, Citi, Amazon, Intel, Bank of America, etc.

Technically, I've held a short position on AAPL every month for the past four years by writing calls against my LEAPS. lol Easy money. With that being said, I would not recommend an outright short position at the moment. I may sell a couple of the LEAPS next month, though.

I think they are out of great ideas. Msft was in 2000 but a short would have netted almost nothing in 10 years. Gold seems the better short IMO.

Better to sell your apple shares as soon as possible. Maybe it's a good idea to buy nokia again, because they have windows phone 8 devices now. But it's risky of course.

its been far too unpredictable even for the 'experts' to figure out. would be safer to bet on black at a roullette table at this point.. Sure it's over valued, but it was over valued for the last few years and still went up some how.

How has it been "over valued" when it's been trading at 10-13 P/E for the last year? Most people just see the stock price and compare it against something else, say Micorsoft and see that it's trading at $27, so Apple must be over valued because it's $500+ They've got $120 billion in cash! They make $100 million a day in profit! They've got a lower P/E than any tech company out there! Fundamentals people.

Yeah but the way analysts see it is that the compagny has nowhere to go but down from here.

They are changing the winning formula of the apple stores etc. etc. etc.

When do analysts ever get it right? They've been calling a top since $300.

What's the winning formula of an Apple store? Keeping products in stock? They are selling out all their new products. In what world is that a negative thing?

Not only that but there is still plenty of room left for market share growth.

The 24hr aapl store near FAO Schwarz is crowded as fuck all day every day and also through the evening.
The only time it slows down a bit is during the middle of the night.
