"After being married for more than 37 years I showed extremely poor judgment by engaging in an extramarital affair," Petraeus wrote in his letter. "Such behavior is unacceptable, both as a husband and as a leader of an organization such as ours."

Petraeus said that the president accepted his resignation on Thursday.

Unless he was banging a potential spy or putting confidential information at risk somehow, I don't understand why the whereabouts of his penis have anything to do with job performance. If Ron Jeremy could run the CIA more effectively than someone else, it shouldn't matter whether he was more promiscuous than another candidate for the job... only whether or not he was more skilled at completing the task effectively.

It was announced today, that as a result of his resignation, that Gen. Petraeus will NOT be testifying when the Senate investigates the Benghazi assassination attack on the US Ambassador to Libya.

Even though he is no longer CIA Director, I would think that what he has to say would be relevant to the investigation.

Side note: Petraeus wife was the daughter of the Superintendent at West Point when Petraeus was a student there:
