I hope I didn't screw up. I know it's not all geographically accurate, but I think my choices account for just about everywhere.

Oh, and it only allows one vote per person. If, like me, you are multi-national in one way or another, you will have to decide what place you most identify with and choose that.

North America goes from Alaska/Northern Canada, all the way down to the narrow bit where it becomes South America.

So, geographically, Central America is just part of North America. However, in some ways, those countries seem (to many people) more similar to South American countries.

Yeah, Mexico could have gone in with those, but I didn't want to agonize over every bit of the poll. Does it really matter? I bet you can all find a place where you fit, and we can learn a little, even if I wasn't 100% perfect in my selection of 12 choices.

Mexico IS America. The US and Canada are NORTH America. Central America starts at the Mexico/Guatemala border. At least that is the Mexican take on geography.

I figured expats, etc. could choose for themselves. I am living in the UK, and will for years to come, so in some ways, either UK or USA are reasonable answers. I chose USA, though. Had to pick one.

We are talking more than a few MEXICANS. Are Germans taught that Germany is not part of Western Europe in school? Mexicans view Mexico as America proper and the USA and Canada as North America. This is the point I was making in my initial post. A Mexican would never refer to himself as a North American.
