I came into this business kinda hoping that they did own it. But hell...not even one. I figure that the money just wasn't up to what they felt was worth it.

But I never met them or saw them in the strip clubs (my ex worked for Thee Dollhouse chain as a dancer back in the 1980's) or the jack shacks (another ex).
I didn't have a lot of contact with the adult bookstore industry until the 2000's. I'm sure they had to have had a big piece of that in the day though.

Still haven't met one in the online adult business.

why would it be illegal now? hasn't Gianna been running bookings for RK for years? I'm pretty sure hustler has their own inhouse people that manage talent and bookings as well.

also to whoever said it... pretty sure manwin does not own any part of SBW.

i dont know about the US, but large parts of the old school porn biz in Germany have their roots in prostitution. i know a couple of guys who either used or still run brothels or similar and porn was more like a "tax write-off"

You have met quite a few but didn't know it. Some of them are your acquaintances in Vegas. I was there when they were with you. The "mob" is not like the old days. They are more sophisticated today and don't go around behaving like thugs. They are very professional but not forgiving. To put it simply, they have no reason to disclose this information to you.

I don't doubt what you are saying...but if I know them, and you were there when they were with me...then how do YOU know they are in the mafia if they are so careful not to let anyone know?

No, I'm not in the Mafia nor do I have any information to believe tha you are in the Mafia. We do have mutual friends that are in the Mafia but they have no reason to tell you so.

To answer your question. I found out when one of their father's passed away. The family was under watch by the FBI. Because of all the activity, I was informed of what was going on. That's when I learned how the Mafia has progressed. Don't get me wrong, if they need to kill you, they will kill you but they would rather not. They're really sophisticated in what they do.

You can drive 100mph down the 405 freeway without getting pulled over, but it doesn't mean you didn't break the law.

Clearly there are agencies in violation of various pieces of the Talent Agencies Act. These violations could be addressed through a DLSE opinion letter by providing interpretation which may be used in litigation.
