Would you quit your high paying job for yourself ?

Just give your opinion, I (for sure) haven't though of it all...

If you had a business, making you over 600-700$/day (in your pockets) (your clients are nice but you have to do what they ask you to, when it's convenient to them (all on week days), plus you can't hire someone else to do the job for you).

And at nights (actually all day-long) you're making 300-400$/day doing nothing but scratch your balls, have fun developping new things and you could do pretty much all you wanted of your time as everything is automated.

Would you quit/sell the other business eating 6-7 hours of your time everyday to invest in growing your more "automated ventures" ?

That is a loaded question lol If you leave your job you would cut your income by half right? Why not save up money from your biz now till you reach a goal say 20k when you reach that goal then go in biz for yourself and then you would have that 20k as back up for any bumps in the road you may have! *shrugs*

He mentioned selling the time consuming business, so I would think this would give him that lump cushion.

Let's say (love to talk at that tense ) it's been that way for about a year but you still hesitate because the day job is pretty much a "life sure-shot" because of all the contracts in place and the deep dependencies those large companies have with you.

What would be your exit strategy?

$300-$400 a day is enough to live well almost anywhere assuming you have some $$$ saved up in investments and stuff i would sell off the day job / company.

if you dont have $$$ saved up i would save up $$$$ for a few months then sell the day job.

I've done it before, although the day job was making a little less, and the night job a lot more...

Might be smart to stay at the job a little longer - use all that income to pay to ramp up the business to over 1k per day.

In 1988 I quit a full time job that was paying $60,000 a year in my pocket, plus car and expenses. Think back to what that was worth then. I just knew I was worn out selling and it was effecting me.

Went into porn full time and lost the $60k and had to build the porn income, which had been part time for 11 years, into a proper income.

Then when the Internet took off in 1998 I looked into going into it full time and dropping the magazine shooting. Met Eva came here and dropped the idea. Looked at it again later and decided to have feet in both camps.

Looked at coming back to shooting, shot a scene for Manwin and knew I couldn't shoot on my own and then decided to live in our shed in the cabbage field on my Czech pension instead.

Truth is I no longer want to work and can live comfortably and be happy on what we have.

Takes a brave man to give up a safe seat to go sit in a risky one.

No, I would never sell the dayjob now. Not in this climate. Just push it for 1-2 years. Save all the money you make extra and buy gold with it.

Let's see, 200 days*600= 120 grand x 2 years = 240 000$.

Buy 137 ounces of gold with it.

Let it sit for 5-10 years.

and retire!

Money earned now will give you a lifetime of peace.

Buddy, if somebody was near to you, holding a gun on your head, and telling you "Make a decision in the next 10 sec or I shoot you", what would you do ?

The reason I ask is, in that kind of pressure, you would answer with your real god feeling, which is what you really want to do.

Thank you. Not really character. Direct selling at the level I was, is very stressful and fucks you up after a while. I had just lost my Father and it really effected me. So switching in 1988 to full time porn was inevitable.

Jumping from magazine and video sales to the Internet in 1998/1997 was so risky. I know what a few say here. I met them and later went to the shows. Most were struggling and offering "partnerships" or so arrogant it was shocking. However people were buying sets of slides to scan and that was nice easy money. $3 to $10 an image.

The Internet was at a snails pace for many, billing was a nightmare. when you're making good money. Jumping from one ship to another that's not looking so good takes more balls than I have.

Late 1987, met Eva, went to Czech to shoot in 1998 and found it was a treasure chest of babes. Married later that year, moved to CZ 1999 and tried to keep the cash flowing, shoot all the babes and wait 6-12 months for the money to flood back. And you all know that story.

Went to every LV show 1999 to 2006 maybe. 1999 was a funny time. Most were desperate for content. Bang Bus was shooting along with a few others. Most didn't have a clue and digital cameras were expensive or bad. Had 4 brokers selling our content online and making us nice bucks. Yet not taking everything. I knew and trusted them all.

Spoke to brokers like Zmaster, Ounique and others. Who I never trusted. So open a paysite or a content store? You know the rest.

Always been cautious and stuck to what I know best and brings in money. Except 1988 when I had no choice. Never spent like a pimp and you know the rest.

Investing in automation is one of the best things you can do.

It sucks at first, but in the end, you can scale and enjoy a better quality of life.

That's 9k - 12k a month. I'd quit a job for that. Build a few new sites, automate as much as possible, and have free time to spend with family etc. Easy question

As cliche and simplicstic as it may be - in these unstable economic and employment times - you can't place a value on a safety net. Even the most sure-thing these days can evaporate - often beyond your control.

I quit my well paying day job 1998 to do this full time, and have never looked back - best decision I have ever made in my life.
