Hi,

I have a question for you. If you would rather not answer or say, it is cool with me. I am just curious how you got started with your business. Was it a field you worked in at one time and then started on your own or something you got into because it was a good opportunity?

I have a friend who spent 20 years working as a machinist for the same company. Over the years he bought a few pieces of old machining equipment, refurbished them and sold them for a profit. He didn't make a lot of money at it, but it was a nice extra income and more of a hobby. About a year ago he got laid off from his job. He decided to take the plunge and is now working with a few old pieces of equipment out of his garage and doing small custom jobs for companies.

He is at the point now where he is likely going to have to get a building and invest some money in new equipment as well as hiring a few people if he wants to really make a good run at this being successful long term.

So I was just curious how you built up to the size you are today and if you might have any advice for this guy.

Sometimes you have to risk a little to win a lot.

I started on mainstream about 12 - 13 years ago with a simple online Shop.
I did well but not enough to live full from it.
But I was also not able to do more, because i dint had the time for it.

One day I came home and told my wife "Thats it, im quiting my Job" (electrician).
I did that and was able to invest more time on my small byz.
Went well after a couple of years i had an Import and Export company.
That was in Germany.

After few years I could not stand the pressure and the living way in germany.
So i gave my company up and move to Colombia.
where I saw the opportunity to get in an unexplored byz here "Porn".
