Would anyone pay $2000 for goldporn-tube.com? 479,444 Alexa without manipulating with toolbars or other bs, PR2, 2-3000 uniques/day on auto for months that makes sales as a Pimproll hosted tube, #2 on Google for 'gold porn tube' (450,000 monthly exact searches) and #2 for 'gold porn' (368,000 monthly exact searches)

Yeah, I shouldn't have loaned that much money at the time.. :(
Sadly I don't even have any cows or chickens to barter with..
I can't wait til Christmas shopping season comes around. I'm already planning for Cyber Monday...

Too bad there isn't a secondary market for affiliate accounts with balances below the minimum payout threshold. If there was such a market, I'd definitely cash out and hook you up. I don't think you'd fuck me over but even if you did, I highly doubt that being fucked over in such a situation would be any more annoying than trying to figure out whether or not to send traffic to any of these shitty programs.

I'd do the same thing too, but for an affiliate program to cash out below minimum is a rarity, unless they're a non-shady affiliate and I'm cancelling my whole acct.. :upsidedow

A lot of people are in a touch spot man, myself included. I just got fucked for $11k last month which will put me in the negative at the end of this month... worst I've been in in over 7 years

However begging for money won't get you anywhere, EVERYONE expects a hand out. I suggest you go look for work, post on CL or freelance boards and try to pick up a few people. Charging someone $500 for SEO/SMO won't be the difficult if you have a track record of success, then all you need is 4 clients and you have your $2,000 that you EARNED rather than trying to borrow from someone.

First thing tomorrow you should create a solid resume and get 3 testimonials of people that you worked with in the past. Put it together in a nice PDF file then just start looking around for companies in your area. Show up at their door with your printed PDF from staples in a nice cover with a contract in hand saying you normally charge $1,000 for this but you are helping out local businesses and will do it for $500 if they signup today.

Just my :2 cents: and exactly what I will be doing to recover this huge loss and I'm certain in 3 weeks I will have more than what I need.

In my case I decided to fund a business out of my own pocket and partnered with people who are not giving it 100%, so now I need to give it 300% to make up, but that was MY RISK and its MY FAULT, so now its time to shine :winkwink:

Im sure there is someone with a fetish for the down and out..might work haha! Just when you sign up as a performer on Live Jasmine ..streammate or any the fine print in the performer contract and rules states that you must keep your face on camera

Good points, and I feel like an asshole for asking publicly..

I'll try making up a resume and see how that goes. I wouldn't think that local businesses would pay a single local guy up front that much money for the first job, though, but I can always try and I have some great references.

Storage auctions :winkwink: I once put a bid on one for 5 bucks and flipped it for 3000..just need a truck and help and repost that stuff on craigslist ... My storage unit was full of Stetson hats sealed in boxes that belonged to companies. Theres many ways to make money..just have to think outside the box

Dont worry, there is usually one or two people a week asking for money here.

You have to have a success story, or this wont work for you. If you walk in and say "hey, my name is Mike, do you want SEO?" you will get the door shut in your face.

Most companies don't like working with big agencies because they know they will get fucked. Make up a story about how you used to work for them and you know you can do this better on a one-to-one relationship with the clients where they know exactly who is doing all the work.

Also, and probably most important, make sure to have some type of guarantee of service. Meaning... "if I don't do what I say, I will give you my money back, and its on this contract right here so you have nothing to lose." No one will hand you a dollar on a whim.

Make yourself professional and come prepared. Start with some that are out of your league to practice, then you will have more experience going after the smaller companies that you can close.

Good luck :thumbsup

I'm going to start with the T. Marzetti corporate office down the street. Might work since T. Marzetti was my great great aunt. It was bought out by a bigger food company years ago, though...

If you know anyone that is going to buy a fancy, expensive sectional sofa, refer them to http://sectionalsofas.shop-blogs.com/ and one sale will pay my rent and bills... :upsidedow

Let's see, you've been here 8 months and you've been impoverished that entire time?. You loaned all of your thousands out and are you're now broke? You're paying on a 60 year mortgage but you can't live there? Your electricity is cut off but you still have Internet access?

Get a job :2 cents:

18teens 09-06-2012 11:28 PM

If I thought your hard luck story had the possibility of being even remotely true, I might feel sorry for you, but that's the biggest crock of bullshit that I've ever read.

I swear it's all true and I've been doing this much longer than just the time I've been on GFY..

I live at my dad's now, but my brother is at my apartment and without it, he's homeless like I explained. I'm fine but could use the help to make things much less complicated and can bounce right back to normal once I get everything that is owed to me plus a few checks at the end of the month..

Pathetic thread... no offence to the OP.

Over the years, with 3 kids, a wife, a dog, a house, etc etc... I've come close to hitting the skids more than once, and NEVER, never... would I come here and ask to "borrow" from random strangers.

What I did do tho, is explain my situation and asked if anyone had any WORK they could throw my way.

Want to panhandle? get off GFY and hit the streets like the rest of the bums.

Sorry man, I know some will read this reply and think "Whoooooaaa where's Mr nice MGK"

He's tired, and exhausted from working his ass of for years, and never asking for a handout.

You'll get thro this, but next time, think about offering to earn your way, before begging for it.

DamageX 09-06-2012 11:50 PM

If you're willing to sell any blog posts, I'm buying. ICQ in my profile. ;)

I know, I should have thought of that and offered a few services in later posts.. :winkwink:

I've seen a few other people doing the same thing and thought I'd ask since I don't know what else to do right now, especially since someone big in the industry said I could borrow $1000 a couple of weeks ago and nothing so far.. If what I posted was really uncalled for, sorry about that.

What I meant was that it would be cool if there was an actual company who offered the service for a cut.

Sponsors would likely also want a cut so pay $0.85 on the $1 to 'Minimum Schminimum" who would then take 15% and give the rest to the affiliate.

So affiliates would essentially have to pay a 27.75% surcharge to use the service.

Probably not lucrative enough for a stand alone business, but a nice new revenue stream for a company with pre-existing sponsor relationships

Maybe Sign Bucks?

Matyko 09-07-2012 02:47 AM

Are you willing to sell greatbongs.com? :pimp

EddyTheDog 09-07-2012 03:02 AM

You have about 11.50 more than me in your account sorry... :(

What sort of money do get from Chatturbate and is it %?

I approached AFF a few years ago and raised a few thousand by "selling" my future rebills to them.

Its an expensive way of doing it, I lost a lot, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

Try being VERY VERY nice to Punker.

Nicky 09-07-2012 04:48 AM

Weren't you the guy making a 100 new unique blogs a day? If that's not making you recurring money to easily live from I suggest you try a different approach. Sorry for being so blunt.

Edit: For example, a few years I was broke as shit living in the worst apartment that you can think of on a big college campus ghetto. So one day I found 3 late 90s computer cases with random components in an alley that I was able to rig together to barely work (333MHz, 1.2Gb HD, XP that was hacked and loaded to a blank desktop and no explorer.exe that I could exploit to open IE and work for 45 minutes at a time until it restarted with no warning..) and connected wirelessly to a 0.7Kbps connection from a donut shop 2 blocks away. Then I cashed checks at local head shops until I got to where I am today (2 houses and bought my dads house to stop foreclosure and gave my brother 10k a few months ago).

"I loaned my brother 10k"

Which is it? Anyhow just sell one of your two houses and you wont have a problem, btw you said you bought your fathers house so no foreclosure problem there right?

"So now I'm in a bad position with literally $12 in the bank with my power shut off and rent not paid for my own apartment a"

Your apartment? What happened with your two houses?

I was counting my dads as one of those and I haven't lived in the other house for a while, long story on that bs, too.

Also, I said I gave my bro 10k (with intention to pay back) so what's your question there?..
