Todd Akin and rape

Holy fucking shit

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012...?newsfeed=true

So, cliff notes. He says that during "legitimate rape" women rarely get pregnant therefore his policy against ANY abortion for ANY reason is an excellent idea.

Who the fuck would ever vote republican with cunts like that around?

/me shakes his head.

Yes, these are the nincompoops elected to represent us. We are doomed. The dumber you are the better chance you have of getting elected. Smart people cannot be trusted. I wonder if this applies to the female goats he rapes on his home planet ?

just read about this cro-mag today lol.

Among other things, the GOP’s candidate for U.S. Senate in Missouri, suggested in an interview that it was time to “look at or overturn” the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Does that mean if the girl gets knocked up that it's not really rape? And if it's not really rape then can a man still be charged?

I read this article this morning. I have no idea who this guy is and don't care, but this line was rather humorous:

Quote:
"If it is a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try and shut that whole thing down."
Sure thing.

The key thing here is that Akin's views on abortion (not his nonsense about pregnancies not happening from rape) are exactly the same as most of the republican party. Paul Ryan and Akin actually co-sponsored a bill, HR 3, that would outlaw abortion in ANY circumstance except where the mother's life is at risk.

Here's Ryan's record on abortion:
Voted YES on banning federal health coverage that includes abortion. (May 2011)
Voted NO on expanding research to more embryonic stem cell lines. (Jan 2007)
Voted NO on allowing human embryonic stem cell research. (May 2005)
Voted YES on restricting interstate transport of minors to get abortions. (Apr 2005)
Voted YES on making it a crime to harm a fetus during another crime. (Feb 2004)
Voted YES on banning partial-birth abortion except to save mother’s life. (Oct 2003)
Voted YES on forbidding human cloning for reproduction & medical research. (Feb 2003)
Voted YES on funding for health providers who don't provide abortion info. (Sep 2002)
Voted YES on banning Family Planning funding in US aid abroad. (May 2001)
Voted YES on federal crime to harm fetus while committing other crimes. (Apr 2001)
Voted YES on banning partial-birth abortions. (Apr 2000)
Voted YES on barring transporting minors to get an abortion. (Jun 1999)
Rated 0% by NARAL, indicating a pro-life voting record. (Dec 2003)
Rated 100% by the NRLC, indicating a pro-life stance. (Dec 2006)
Prohibit transporting minors across state lines for abortion. (Jan 2008)
Bar funding for abortion under federal Obamacare plans. (Jul 2010)
Prohibit federal funding for abortion. (May 2011)
Congress shall protect life beginning with fertilization. (Jan 2011)
Prohibit federal funding to groups like Planned Parenthood. (Jan 2011)
Grant the pre-born equal protection under 14th Amendment. (Jan 2007)

The Republican Party is wholly composed of fat, rich white men (regardless of their weight, their sex, or their ethnicity; Republicans today are all stereotypical fat, wealthy, white men) who pretend to believe in a "Holy" book that was written by a British King.

The King James bible has about as much to do with the history of religion as my left shoe has to do with space travel. America went to war with Britain to establish its independance. You won the battle, yet you lost the war. Long dead British Kings still rule your country.

http://www.greatsite.com/timeline-en...bible-history/

Unless you guys wrote your own Bible in your spare time? Oh, wait. You did.... Numerous times...

Honestly, no Republicans believe in God. They believe in greed. They say "God Bless America!" to win votes from the ignorant. Other politicians offer "Free Health Care!" and "Healthy Diets" (WTF?) and "Clean Air!"

All bullshit.

They want your money. The want power. All of them. Without exception.

Vote for your fucking dog. He would do a better job running the country - and he'd be a LOT more likeable. Just watch out for those MilkBone loggyists; those cocksuckers are insidious and relentless.

Thank you for your time.

There are some pundits, including republicans, that think this little statement of his will likely cost him the election and if so that seat might end up keeping the republicans from taking back the senate.

Missouri is a pretty backwoods state. My cousin lives there. She is a teacher. She married a Jewish guy and converted for him when they got married like 20 years ago. They moved to Missouri about 10 years ago to run a finishing and camping resort. The first year they were there she got a teaching job and by all accounts she did a great job. The kids loved her, most of the parents liked her and things were good, but she did complain about a few things that were wrong in the school. She was not brought back the next year. When she talked to the principle of the school about why she wasn't brought back he told her flat out that they weren't too comfortable with a Jew teaching their kids. She told him she was shocked to hear that because she could sue over something like that. He looked her in the eye and invited her try explaining that "a Jew might have trouble getting justice in this part of the country."

Her husband talked her into letting it go. She eventually got a job at a small private school. One afternoon she overheard one of the parents saying, "I think the school must be good, they got a Jew broad teaching science."

Pertly true. They follow a religion that has roots going back long before King James. The biggest part of the New Testament was decided by Constantine and a group of politicly minded in Constantinople. They chose the texts, Gospels, etc. They threw out and burned anything which disagreed with them.

The writing were from people who never met, knew or lived at the time of Jesus. Some recently found writings have been discovered that were from the time and it's thought by people who knew Jesus. They had to be well hidden or would of been burned, along with anyone who dared say they were true.

Which is what the Roman Catholic church was fond of doing. They were an extension of the Roman Empire and wrote our history up until the time of the printing press. Our popular history is their version.

As far as abortion is concerned. I would be fine with no abortion. If the States that advocate it were 100% willing to provide for any unwanted children or financial support for families who couldn't afford to keep them.

Seems Love thy Neighbour and the Parable of the rich man going to heaven falls on deaf ears when it comes to them giving.

Paul Markham is now also an expert on religious history!

And thinks it is OK for women who are raped to be forced to have the child, so each and every day they are reminded of the horror they were put through!

What a man!
