We do have an incredibly wide range of incomes on GFY, I see a lot of people suggest that affiliates make on average $2K per month, but I'm not sure where this figure came from

It just all depends on several factors such as whether or not you work as an affiliate part-time or full-time and what you're happy living off of income wise. I agree with Lace and think you should always shoot for making more though!

Its good for me, I work a normal full time job so an extra $100(£65) is OK for me, for the time I actually put in.

I am doing around that now, some days more some less but about 2 sales a day plus juicy mobile redirects and filler ads.

Most of affiliates are making way less than 100$ day (as poll shows it).
There are other factors - many of them has other income streams (job, other ventures etc)

If you are older and the day job has retirement, you can ask to work semi-retired and have a nice boost in income.

I have my fingers in many diff pies - all porn related, but all different things. However at 43, I'm winding up now, and dont intend to start anything new. I'll just let what I have got run and run, and then when eventually the reach the tipping point that they are not covering their costs, I'll shut them down...

But thats a long way off from now... I'm happy with what I have made over the years, and no longer need to work at all

Actually its way better than expected. I thought at least 90% of affiliates did not make 3000$/month in profits. I still believe that actually and I believe that majority of affiliates does not earn a third of that.
