7 day $1.00 trial non recurring...why?

I was looking at some ccbill programs and I see one that offers a 7 day non recurring trial for $1.00. That means $0.58 for the affiliate and who gets the rejoin commission when they offer a reduced price via mail as a win back? I'm confused here...Not many do it but I see wankpass does.

Does the affiliate make money on the join if they resign in these instances?

I am sure this is a limited trial with probably one video from each site and if you want to see more you have to pay $20-30

I am assuming you will get paid for those instant upgrades but you'll have to pay the $1 and find out

It may seem wierd on the surface, but trust me. It works. And Michael ( Wankpass ) knows very well how to convert traffic and retain as well.
You can get some great numbers with him.

Test, test and more test have lead to this. But as suggested, send an email and have a chat with him. Very nice guy

And yes, it is a limited trial. Cant remember how much that is offered on the trial.

We aint mailing our members shit besides a "sure you dont want to upgrade" to members who hasnt upgraded after 5 days..

Yeah, I get questions about this mysterious $1 none recurring trial every now and then, and it's understandable because it's not seen very often.

I have been experimenting with this for quite some years now and the results has been quite interesting.

If there's something a lot of customers/surfers doesn't like to read it's the word "recurring", that I found out like 4-5 years ago or so when we tried replacing our recurring trial with a none recurring one.. over night our trial sales increase by - are you ready? - 300%

So, our trial members gets access to a limited version of the full members area.. and if they want to view the full videos/galleries they need to upgrade their membership to full month recurring - for some reason it's much easier to get them to go recurring them they're already inside and seen a peak of the thousands of videos which they will get access to after they upgrade.

So, with 300% more trials sold, the upgrade ratio can be quite low to match up with the recurring trials.. but for a good portion of my sites it's actually pretty decent.

Here's the recent stats for my best sites (how long a period this is for, is classified information ) :

These are 100% raw numbers, not uniques :

When a member upgrades it will pop up as a new recurring sale in your CCBILL affiliate stats.

These are ofcourse my best sites, but even an upgrade ratio of 30% is pretty good with none recurring trials if you ask me.. and it also minimized the cb ratio because here's it's actually the member himself taking the decision instead of a recurring trial he forgot to cancel ;)
