I've used the online cloud services and probably still will for a few things, but I picked one of these up a few days ago and now have a 3TB Personal Cloud that syncs all my computers, feeds my media center, holds Time Machine backups of my Macs and acts as my own personal Dropbox all for under $200.

Local backup, at least two sets, one rotated and kept offsite.
Cloud backup for additional data security in the case of a SNAFU. |
