I looked in who is for DNS servers, and looks like "hosting provider"(based on dns records) is down: www.zerigo.net

Also other sites on that DNS records are resolving very slow or not loading same as paxum.

can you confirm that?

zerigo is under DDOS

Our a, b and d.ns.zerigo.net nameservers are currently under high load due to a DDOS attack.

Update
We are now seeing reduced load after applying filters for the specific type of queries present in the DDOS.

We have filters on 90% of the DNS infrastructure. We are working with our carrier in the UK to lift null routes they've placed to mitigate the impact of the DDOS.

Update
DDOS packets continue to arrive. So far we are seeing the origins of this traffic almost mostly in Europe. We will have a.ns.zerigo.net back online in the morning hours eastern time.

Here it trick for those who need to access to access paxum:
Open c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (on linux is \etc\hosts) and add this line: 64.188.51.143 www.paxum.com paxum.com
Save it and then it will work like charm and it will always work no matter does dns work or not.

For future,to see on what ip adress is paxum hosted,use this site:
http://intodns.com/ and see what ip adress is on www record.This is important in case they will change ip adress,so you dont stack on old server in case you left this line in your hosts settings all the time.

Zerigo.com , the DNS provider we use at Paxum, is currently under DDOS attack.

As soon as we were alerted to the issue we changed our DNS and it should propagate in the next 1-2 hours. We apologize for the inconvenience, and we will take measures in the future to have greater flexibility and not to depend so heavily on one DNS Provider, no matter how reputable they may be.
