Linode - Get free services
I've used Linode for years. I host a few small but extremely important sites on a couple of Linode VPS and even keep another VPS with them just to test and screw around with.
Today they're giving away $250,000 in services. If you're a new customer, you get $100 credited to your account to use towards services. If you were to get the smallest VPS, that would give you 5 months service for free. If you're an existing customer and add a service, you will get August, Sept, and Oct for free for that new service regardless of price. This is a great deal but once all of the $250k has been spent, the deal is over so get on it now. Disclaimer: If you're the kind of person who happily hosts on Hostgator/Dreamhost/Godaddy and you need a control panel or constant hand-holding to run your sites, Linode is not for you. If you can run your own server or want to learn, Linode is definitely for you. |

I'd thought of getting a Linode myself. I remember reading an article about a programmers workflow using linode with his ipad.
