Rock on Dawg. If Claudia is even aware of what I said and is truly offended then offer her my apology as Id rather see her big tittys than her fists ;)

You know what you do...

No, I don't "know what I do" I haven't seen Minte address my comment at all. And if he did misread it...now he knows what I was asking.

Let me clarify...sometimes I see people come to GFY and post stuff that makes me wonder "why". Like a death in their family or something else very personal like that. Not saying it's "bad". Just makes me curious as to why some topics are on here.

Just like this thread. READ what I asked. I NEVER said one bad thing. But you sure did to me. WTF business is this of yours anyway? As I said already, Minte is a grown man. He is a tremendously successful man. If he thinks I was attacking him in any way he would have just told me to fuck off.

And I would have went: "Oh shit, my post didn't come out right". And then I would have explained it as I just did.

So no...you didn't have a clue what I was thinking, even now that I've explained it to you, you're still acting like you don't.
But your posts towards me have been nothing but offensive in this thread.

EDIT: 100 Minte's doing good. And 100 poor pitiful misunderstood Robbie's. :)

Based on your know how about Unions and the manufacturing business will you setup shop in Detroit ?

Do UAW stipulate that the big 3 has to buy parts from union shops ? I have lived in Detroit for 3 years and still dont understand why no one want to setup shop here.

Sunny Day 06-09-2012 09:37 PM

Guess your new plant won't be union

But why didn't you just buy a plant in Mississippi or Alabama?
Oh, no quality of life, but hey they got no unions.

In this country we have 3 branches of government to keep one branch from going crazy. It's called Checks and Balances. In business we almost have the same. It's called management and unions.

You seem to be anti-union. But look at Wisconsin. Has for years, one America's highest standards of living and a well paid well educated population. A union state. As opposed to say Mississippi a state with few unions, a population with no education and low incomes. And few rich people.

You don't get it. It takes workers income to buy the products businesses produce.

But let's get rid of unions. let's go back to the days of children working 80 hours a week for pennies and before they become adults are likely to lose a finger or arm in unsafe equipment.

Hell, we don't need mine safety rules. Who cares if we lose a few Irish immigrants in a mine cave-in? Plenty more where they came from.

So what if we have more Triangle Shirtwaist fires where women die because of poor fire safety.

So what if auto workers have to show up at the gate every morning begging for the same job they had the day before. So what if they have to bring the supervisor home for dinner to hope to work tomorrow. So what if his wife has to fuck the supervisor so their children don't go hungry.

Guy told me of a small town he lived in. Everybody there worked for minimum wage. A helicopter company wanted to build a factory just outside of town. The local store owners made sure it didn't happen, as they were afraid they'd lose their employees to the higher paying jobs.
The store owners were so short-sited they didn't see any lost employees would be replaced by people from local towns and all the new job money would be spent in their stores making them far richer. Even if they had to give the new employees more money , they still were going to reap in more money.
A rising tide raises ALL boats.

Unions are the downfall of america. When i had my day job we delivered wood to a refrigtaion plant that used it to pack up thier units to ship. We get a call they ran out and need it asap as they have 15 guys doing nothing since they have no material. We rush load it and hot shot the delivery. Get thier the forklift operator just left for lunch. So 15 guys plus me sat their for 1 hour until he got back so that he could get on the forklift that was sitting beside my truck and set the wood inside the building so the other guy inside with the forklift could then take it were it went. I was like the guy inside cannot drive out the building? Reply...thats not my job. A year or so later they closed up shop here and took their entire operation to Mexico and then 800 people in this small as little town were out a job. Go unions!

CaptainWolfy 06-10-2012 02:53 AM

Congrats, it's always nice to see that somebody has succeeded!

Minte 06-10-2012 04:21 AM

We figured out the perfect solution for our company at the beginning.
#1 - Treat your employees with respect
#2 - Create and maintain a safe working enviroment
#3 - Pay a competitive living wage. And review them annually
#4 - Provide quality benefits. We do. Healthcare 70/30. Dental,life insurances(100%) And a 401k program.

Why do we need a union to tell us to do the right thing, when we already do the right thing.

This is how it should be done but too many greedy people out there often take advantage of people who need jobs. if all businesses treated employees like this, there would be no need for unions. unions in their current state have become bloated and totally ruined their once usefulness, unfortunately but they still can protect worker rights. they definitely need to be re-tooled.

Nice try but OSHA is in charge of workplace safety not unions.

Yeah it's either going to be inspiring or another story of someone born with the golden spoon stuck in their ass.

Personally I hope it's inspiring. I'm sick and fucking tired of the "Oh my daddy gave it to me" stories.

OSHA was started in 1970. Signed into law by Nixon.

Unions were protecting worker safety long before that. The Triangle fire was in 1911. 146 women died. 50 by jumping out windows. All exits had been locked to prevent employee theft. Due to the fire, the newly formed International Ladies Garment Workers demanded safety reforms.

If Minte is treating his workers fair, good for him.

I know that. What I'm saying is that with OSHA in place keeping unions around for safety reasons is a poor one.

tony286 06-10-2012 03:59 PM

its an old talking point ,the unions make up less than 12 percent of the total work force and private work force less than 7 percent. Most can say fuck the unions because they dont realize most of the protections workers have now came from unions. The really funny thing is all the pundits they listen to that say unions suck all belong to unions. Reagan was the president of a union. lol

Yeah, you might be correct as well :)

I dont know who Minte is. I dont know who most people are here. At any rate, it does not matter if I do or don't....this is bad ass and a big success. I couldn't even afford to fill that avatar up for a ride let alone drive it. Long story short, I'm glad one of us is killing it and making money these days! Would love to see before and after pics of empty and full! :)
