I will say though, of all my work done over the years, never was I so daring to steal icons from a childrens game to place in a porn site, and never would I risk my client like that, ever.

I wanted to make sure you had a clear understanding of what it was i was looking for. You then proceeded to brush me off and told me that it was a $1/minute if I wanted to explain it to you. Hey Loryn I do my own work , but have not started doing things for others, I like looking at peoples work to see whats new and hip in other peoples aspects of design , also wanted to see someone that designs for others that some of these people that aren't happy with GW can use! thanks.

Well we will never know. At the time I was 50/50 unsure if you were a genuine customer or not. From my experience, the guys that have worked with designers before know we dont like to sit around chatting as it stops us working.

It's usually the noobs with big dreams that think you do this for a hobby and have all day to talk to them.

In all likelyhood I wouldn't have taken your gig anyway. We like to do quick punchy gigs that take no more than a few days max. $10K would mean we would be devoted to you for a conciderable amount of time. Negleting our other clients.

IM sorry I hurt your feelings. I hope you found a great designer.

My Indian employee's got a portfolio that puts her's to shame. He charges $25 per DESIGNED PAGE. If I place the order tonight, it's completed by the time I wake up in the morning. Can't beat that.

Mind giving me his contact info / website address? We only do software and are looking for a designer for some of our upcoming projects. Well, either that or eventually get someone in house, but wouldn't hurt to have his info on file.

Well we dont have a programmer. So no.. we can only do what is in our service range. Which is design and intergration.

I have passed on his info once just last week and someone from here insulted him somehow...so I don't really want to take the chance of him not wanting to do work for me because I referred him a bunch of assholes. Not saying you are of course, just that most here are and I don't want to risk it.

I agree with you notjoe... spending some time with customers is part of business... I have found over the years, that spending a little extra bit of time with my customer has always paid off for me... You never know how that customer, who apparently is thought of as small or not knowing what they are doing, will turn out for your business... it's usually a long term loyal person who not only gives you their business but spreads the word around more on how great it is to work with you...

I like your grasp in business Joe... If you need a good designer let me know babe... Don't mind spending time with anyone... I like to get to know everyone I work with, and it doesn't take much time do it AT ALL...
