50 Top Astronauts, Scientists Sign Letter Slamming NASA For Promoting Man-Made Climate Change Dogma

Scientists around the world are trying hard to fight the International Bankers attempt to create global taxes under the fig leaf of the 'Climate Change', while the Rothschilds say that the time for debate is over "It's past the point of talking!" says David de Rothschild

-------------------------------

50 Top Astronauts, Scientists, Engineers Sign Letter Claiming Extremist GISS Is Turning NASA Into A Laughing Stock!

10. April 2012

Eventually the sham is going to give, and the latest letter signed by 50 NASA experts, with more than 1000 years of combined professional experience, is a sure sign the gig?s about over.

?..unproven remarks?..not substantiated?..hundreds of well-known climate scientists?..tens of thousands of other scientists publicly declaring their disbelief?..science is NOT settled?..unbecoming of NASA?s history?..advocacy of an extreme position?..damage to the exemplary reputation of NASA?..even the reputation of science itself??

Letters to the top don?t get any more blunt than that.

And how many tens of billions have these crackpots at GISS cost the taxpayers?

Here?s the letter:

March 28, 2012
The Honorable Charles Bolden, Jr.
NASA Administrator
NASA Headquarters
Washington, D.C. 20546-0001
Dear Charlie,

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that NASA and the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) refrain from including unproven remarks in public releases and websites. We believe the claims by NASA and GISS, that man-made carbon dioxide is having a catastrophic impact on global climate change are not substantiated, especially when considering thousands of years of empirical data. With hundreds of well-known climate scientists and tens of thousands of other scientists publicly declaring their disbelief in the catastrophic forecasts, coming particularly from the GISS leadership, it is clear that the science is NOT settled.

The unbridled advocacy of CO2 being the major cause of climate change is unbecoming of NASA?s history of making an objective assessment of all available scientific data prior to making decisions or public statements.

As former NASA employees, we feel that NASA?s advocacy of an extreme position, prior to a thorough study of the possible overwhelming impact of natural climate drivers is inappropriate. We request that NASA refrain from including unproven and unsupported remarks in its future releases and websites on this subject. At risk is damage to the exemplary reputation of NASA, NASA?s current or former scientists and employees, and even the reputation of science itself.

For additional information regarding the science behind our concern, we recommend that you contact Harrison Schmitt or Walter Cunningham, or others they can recommend to you.

Thank you for considering this request.

Sincerely,

(Attached signatures)

CC: Mr. John Grunsfeld, Associate Administrator for Science
CC: Ass Mr. Chris Scolese, Director, Goddard Space Flight Center

Ref: Letter to NASA Administrator Charles Bolden, dated 3-26-12, regarding a request for NASA to refrain from making unsubstantiated claims that human produced CO2 is having a catastrophic impact on climate change.

Never try to contradict the deeply held beliefs of a person's religion.

They only get angry at you and call you names.

just because they are astronauts or scientists does not mean they cannot be wrong or misinformed, as is the case here. your argument sucks balls.

and why did you stop posting links to your articles? because they are from the usual crackpot sources?

if you think that the scientific method and peer review = belief you are even worse off than i thought.

I was going to say the same thing.

Not too long ago everyone thought the world was flat. 100 years from now we may know exactly what is causing global warming, and it may be something we haven't even thought of it, or it could be exactly what they are saying it is. Fact is, no one knows for sure yet.

As one piece of evidence it wouldn't be enough, but when held together with everything else that's gone on, even right back to the Club of Rome documents where they planned on finding an outside threat to unite the nations and suggested the climate could be used, there's too much evidence that this is a fraud.

The one thing that's propping up this Climate Change Scam is an unlimited source of funding from the globalist bankers. Many scientists are happy to sell their souls to the devil and come up with 'science' that makes them bank

Yes, you're right, after all these years of the House of Rothschild screwing over humanity, at last they've had a complete role reversal and now want to heroically save the planet.

Once Bitten Twice Shy isn't a motto applicable to your approach when deciding who to trust

Correlation does not always equal causation. We may never know in our life time what the main antagonist of climate change is.

Funding, if you throw enough funding at scientists to prove something, they'll prove it

There's hype, hyperbole, and unfounded conspiracy theories on both sides of this.

Some things we know:
Other planets are also warming.
SUVs on earth aren't what's making mars and Venus get warmer.
Earth is warming faster than Mars and Venus.
The man made ice age the environuts were screaming about in the 1970s didn't happen.
In the 1980s, the global warming industry said California would be underwater by now.
California is still there, for better or worse.
The earth is at the peak of it's long term warming cycle coming out if the last glacial period.
The intra-glacial warming and sun cycle warming do not fully account for all warming.

Reasonable conclusions include -
In addition to natural cycles, human activity may contribute to warming over thousands of years.
As some environuts have admitted, the hype is way overblown, saying it's an impending catastrophe, which it is not.
It's an issue we'll want to address some time in the next 800 years or so.

Personally I have no idea what causes global warming. It could be some cycle that happens or it could be us. So I don't debate it either way. My point was that no one really knows, including astronauts, as accomplished as they may be.

One thing I will agree on is governments and bankers will use anything possible to make more money, including spreading lies, selling fear, and the destruction of others.

interesting read to give the op's post some perspective.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environmen...?newsfeed=true

As is usually the case in these climate contrarian letters, this one has no scientific content, and is written by individuals with not an ounce of climate science expertise, but who nevertheless have the audacity to tell climate scientists what they should think about climate science.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myth_of_the_Flat_Earth

The myth of the Flat Earth is the modern misconception that the prevailing cosmological view during the Middle Ages saw the Earth as flat, instead of spherical.[1] The idea seems to have been widespread during the first half of the 20th century, so that the Members of the Historical Association in 1945 stated that:

"The idea that educated men at the time of Columbus believed that the earth was flat, and that this belief was one of the obstacles to be overcome by Columbus before he could get his project sanctioned, remains one of the hardiest errors in teaching." [2]

During the early Middle Ages, virtually all scholars maintained the spherical viewpoint first expressed by the Ancient Greeks. By the 14th century, belief in a flat earth among the educated was dead. However, the exterior of the famous triptych The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch is a Renaissance example in which a disc-shaped earth is shown floating inside a transparent sphere.[3]

According to Stephen Jay Gould, "there never was a period of 'flat earth darkness' among scholars (regardless of how the public at large may have conceptualized our planet both then and now). Greek knowledge of sphericity never faded, and all major medieval scholars accepted the earth's roundness as an established fact of cosmology."[4] Historians of science David Lindberg and Ronald Numbers point out that "there was scarcely a Christian scholar of the Middle Ages who did not acknowledge [Earth's] sphericity and even know its approximate circumference".[5]

Historian Jeffrey Burton Russell says the flat earth error flourished most between 1870 and 1920, and had to do with the ideological setting created by struggles over evolution.[6] Russell claims "with extraordinary [sic] few exceptions no educated person in the history of Western Civilization from the third century B.C. onward believed that the earth was flat," and credits histories by John William Draper, Andrew Dickson White, and Washington Irving for popularizing the flat-earth myth.[7]

technically, it's not the same people. the principle of "greenhouse gas" effects were discovered multiple times by scientists in a number of different disciplines. it's politicians policymakers and sorporate leaders who have proposed carbon taxes, or, alternatively, carbon markets under a cap and trade system.

I could explain to you how we discovered how co2 concentrations in the atmosphere works to cause greenhouse effect, but it's a long boring story, Interesting in how it starts tho, because it starts with research into infrared guidance systems for missles shortly after ww2.

I doubt you really want to know how we know co2 causes global average temps to rise.

anyway, the question of what to do besides carbon taxing is still a good one.

see, the thing is, what powers do governments really have? they can tax things, they can regulate some things, which is basically another form of tax, they can go to war. thats what governments do, thats what governments have done for the whole 6000 year history of modern civilizations. They are not designed to solve a problem like global warming.

personally i figure whats gonna happen is, things will get slowly worse, then when the economy suffers, people like you will run to the government screaming "why didn't you protect me from this?".

I really have no clue why people continue to argue about this with me.

climate and weather are different

thats what most people who comment on climate change dont understand.

Its a fundamental problem that makes even trying to debate most people on the topic pointless. They simply dont know what they are talking about.

Correct. And exactly because correlation can easily be mistaken for causation, the fundamental method used by empirical scientists is "controlled testing". You take at least 2 identical objects, change 1 thing the first object is exposed to and leave everything the same for the second object. If something about the first object changes (for example, it melts or turns into a gas) and the second object doesn't change, than you can then form an hypothesis about how by altering the thing you altered, the first object was affected. You then go on and test your hypothesis.

As far as I know, we have only 1 planet Earth, so it's impossible to do any kind of controlled testing. Testing the effects of a rise in CO2 in a tiny greenhouse and then extrapolating that simply doesn't hold up given the complexity of our planet (the geological processes involved, the effect of the sun, the natural occurring shift in the Earth's axis,...).

As is usually the case in these climate contrarian letters, this one has no scientific content, and is written by individuals with not an ounce of climate science expertise, but who nevertheless have the audacity to tell climate scientists what they should think about climate science.
Thank you.

EVEN IF CARBON DID NOT EFFECT THE CLIMATE, CARBON IS CREATING ACIDIFICATION OF THE WATER AND POLLUTION IS EFFECTING THE HEALTH OF ALL LIVING CREATURES.

There is no logical reason to pollute if we do not need to. Without a healthy environment, there will be no life as we know it.

The same idiots complaining how we are "ruining the future of our children and grandchildren with the burden of debt" don't give a damn about the biodiversity and our future ability to survive on earth. Money or life? Fucking greedy bastards!
