You found the same with verotel?

I think I'm finally going to cave and switch to Verotel. I'm sick of CCBill constantly F'ing me in the A. This recent MasterCard fee was the final straw for me.

Thats business.
They still charge the fee but will refund it if you do $100/week in sales.
Let us know how it works...:2 cents:

All I know is CCBill's told me two different things over the last ten days. First, they sent me a few e-mails telling me that I'd be charged $100.00 a week over a five-week period to cover the impending MasterCard fee. I was already upset about that since I felt they should have given me a tad more notice. Then, a few hours ago, they sent me a totally different e-mail informing me that the fee needs to be paid up front or I'll no longer be able to process MasterCard transactions. WTF, CCBill? Up until yesterday they had told me three times that my MasterCard transactions would be uninterrupted and that the fee would just be taken out of my weekly payouts. Then, just today, they tell me the exact opposite. Not too professional. Meanwhile, the 24th is less than a week away. So, yeah, forgive me for being more than a tad frustrated. That's just bad business no matter how you slice it. Lately I've been hearing a lot of good things about Verotel. Might be time to give 'em a go.

If so, I am blown away that Verotel outperformed CCbill by that much.

Why?

Everyone knows that CCbill scrapes like 80% of all transactions. I don't know why would anyone in their right mind would bill through them.

So how does that happen exactly. CCBill scrapes 80% of transactions meaning the site owner does not get paid. So user is given a *back door* secret entry into site so ccbill collects money and site owner never knows, 80% of the time?

I like the Verotel sign up forms and admin CP but keep them at the bottom of my cascades because of their rip off 1.5% fee on top of the normal fees for all re-bills.

Don't be an idiot. You know what he's referring to, the scrub.

Ahh. Not wanting to pry but did you find the same sort of difference?
Do you use both still?
Can you figure and logical reason other then the scrub speculation?

The notorious and mysterious scrub does not explain everything especially an approval decline.

Approval declines do not benefit the website owner, or the customer...the approval declines only benefit the middle men.

Kolargol 05-18-2013 11:37 PM

How approval declines benefit ccbill?

The 80% of surfers are never able to sign up through a CCbill gateway.

Over the years I tried to sign up myself to different CCbill sites, and was never successful. (with a proper credit card from a 1st world country).
