Much like everything in the US, American "Football" is designed around money, ei. commercial breaks. The sport itself caters to the interests of the advertisers, not to the interest of the sport itself and its fans.

Real football consists of 2 45 mins. periods of uninterrupted play. This is why it has not picked up in the US, there is no other real reason. Broadcasters and advertisers have much more to gain from showing American Football.

@ the guy thinking the Superbowl is the biggest single sporting event in the world.

Noooo, it's because watching 30 idiots kick a ball back and fourth for 2 45 mins. periods of uninterrupted play is about as boring as watching turtles fuck.
