Be wary of making transactions using dollars. Lots of counterfeit foreign currency being circulated in the marketplace to dupe tourists. Just have your dollars changed to the local currency in the airport.
Food is spicy and hot. But avoid patronizing the food stands. Stick to the more established restaurants. If unsure, just go where there are many people eating.
