I know of a lot of people (myself included) who have done this. Just be careful of who you use. I guess it might also help to live in a state which has medical marijuana cards.

If you are really sketched, setup a P.O. Box under a biz name (costs less than $30 to register a business here), send them there, then close the P.O. Box.

its usually not a big deal. If customs gets it they send you a letter asking if you want to pick up your illegal product. I assume arrest would be the result of that, but anyone can send anything to anyone so they don't arrest on the spot.

Why would you need to buy seeds? If you're serious about growing you can either start a legit grow op in Cali or get some seeds here and there from your usual smoke supplier (seeds show up every now and then no matter how good the quality of bud, especially if you're going through a lot of it).
