Solid white albacore tuna contains an added chemical called "sodium pyrophosphate" which is listed at OSHA.Support American Heroes | How Bad is My Batch? | Vaccine Deaths & Adverse Reactions | Free Speech Coalition | <WARNING> ePayService / Guerra Capital, INC / MTACC payments | Flirt4Free Fucks their Affiliates | Don't do business with piece of shit Andy Alvarez from Webmaster Central / VR3000, who said:

Recently I've seen a few solid white tuna sales that seem to only apply to the water versions, while the cans packed in oil are 10 to 30 cents more per can.
Personally I prefer the oil versions to water (especially olive oil). I think they stay fresher, and last longer, but most of my friends seem to prefer water.Comment

Yes, they do stay fresher and last longer. They also taste better IMO, but the stores around (base commissary, Publix) here only have the light in oil or the white in water. I'll have to check Walmart out; I didn't know they sold food.Comment

I know, I know, it may be nothing, Listen, I'm naturally paranoid about things like that. So, if there is an alternative like a package that doesn't contain BPA and is equivalent in price, why not?
