I always wondered if anyone used Facebook's comments for porn sites, and would anyone actually comment using their Facebook account. At the very least, I would suspect users to create a separate porn profile for Facebook.

Problem with a big scraper site like that is if the vids get dmca'ed from xhamster or the other tubes they are scraping. Then you have a ton of vids that don't work.

I've seen that when we've had RYC sends me the copies of DMCA's they send. And then I'll google around a bit on her and find tons of scraper sites who no longer have her video. Makes those sites look kinda crappy to have lots of missing vids.

It's an easy way to fill up a tube site for sure. But I've never even thought about doing that in my Mech Bunny.

Not real impressive to me personally. Not much "Webmastering" going on there. Just a scraper.

To my knowledge a scraper script just grabs 'em. So it grabs a few thousand vids that are all working today and processes them into your tube site...and then tomorrow a hundred of them get dmca'ed down, the scraper would never know and the tube script already has made the page on the scraper site with a vid that doesn't exist anymore.

I suppose that if these big scraper sites actually had somebody there who was a real webmaster and kept an eye on things and had some programming skills, that they could get creative and write a separate job to spider through the site every day and remove any pages with scraped vids that no longer exist.

But I don't see a lot of care and webmaster skills really being used on a lot of these sites. They don't seem to have guys like you or me that actually work on the sites or care about them.

That's what I think too. But from every tube site I've seen...they all seem to spend most of the time on "auto-pilot"

I totally disagree with that. From what I've seen...it takes a tube script with a scraper and a guy who doesn't care to actually check things by hand when users upload them (or as Fabian loves to say...doesn't want to break the DMCA law lol)

It's a pretty sorry state of affairs if you ask me. Major porn sites running on auto-pilot with a script. The owners shouldn't even be allowed to be called "webmaster". They don't do anything.

Most of these sites give deleted xml feeds or you could just rerun the scraper and delete the dead urls

How would re-running the scraper delete the dead url's from your own tube?

I'm kinda ignorant about that. I have zero plans on using the scraper in my Mech Bunny site. But it looks to me like the scraper goes and gets the vids from another site. Then submits them to your Approval Que. Then you process from there to create the page on your own tube site.

The scraper doesn't do anything at all to create or delete the pages on your tube site other than go get the vids from the urls on another site.

That's why I see lots of big tube sites with dead Claudia Marie vid pages when I go looking. The vid was dmca'ed down from the site they scraped and the dead page remains on the sites.

I'm sure they could script something up to clean that up. But as I said earlier...it sure doesn't appear to me that much "webmaster" work goes on with any of these automated cookie cutter tube sites.
