Republican Debate Winner

Once again NONE of the media reporters said Trump won. They all said he was "okay" and didn't make any mistakes. And then they go on and on about which of the other Republicans "won" the debate.

And once again...as in all the debates...the polls come out and Trump wins it in the eyes of the public.

Trump won the debate according to 24% of people watching. Rubio was second with 23%.

Donald Trump, Marco Rubio Won GOP Debate, Poll Finds - Washington Wire - WSJ

The talking head/political analysts of CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News have gotten it wrong EVERY time. They are completely out of touch with what is happening.

"Winning" a debate is like winning in boxing. Just because one boxer outperforms another in a few good shots does not mean that boxer is going to be the winner. There are "rules" and "points" and all of that jazz.

With that said, I did not watch the debate because I know that Trump will be gone in two days anyway. Rubio for the win!

Both parties refuse to admit to themselves that this election cycle is all about the rejection of the career politician. They are terrified the outsiders will wreck their gig.

You hit the nail on the head. Both the RNC and DNC are in a complete panic over this.

I agree. They both seem to be completely rejecting the concept that people are unhappy with the lifers.

The Democrats are screwed. They've got one lifer from a state of no real significance that is about to keel over. They've got another lifer that essentially has two lifer belts on (let's count Bill) that most people can't stand. The other ones... hell I'll be honest, I'm not even sure who is left on the Democrat side.

The Republicans have a very wide range of candidates. Some younger, some older, different races, women, billionaires. So weird.

I'm writing Big Bird in. Why not?

OMG if you love Trump so much why don't you just have sex with him? He's a fucking tool and will never be president. NEVER.

Nobody won. They're all a bunch of dickheads with lame, ill-conceived ideas and backwards looking world views. If the roof collapsed on them it would have been fun to watch.

What's wrong? Trying to shoot the messenger. You sure are an angry guy.

Calm down. It'll all be over soon enough.

Either Hillary will win and we will get exactly the same things we've always gotten from govt. OR Trump will win and things will change.

I'm not voting for either one of them. But I bet you're gonna vote for Hillary.
That's okay, it's human nature to fear change. People tend to feel comfortable with what they are used to...even if it's ineffectual and is destroying the country (debt, wars, spying, etc)

I don't like Hillary very much either...but we're doomed to more war and worse terrorism problems if any of these jerk-offs get in the white house. Hopefully the American people will be smart enough to not give in to fear.

Seems to have been nothing exciting about the debate at all.

I'm not even getting excited until the nominees start debating.

Robbie it doesn't seem you know how these things work.. Trump is the leading republican.. he has to win the debate by a large percentage not 1% to make it a win for him..

If Rubio gained that much to come in 1% behind Trump on public opinion, then yes he clearly won it.

That's the way these things work and always have...but ohhh noo's it must be a liberal media conspiracy..

Ted Cruz, Rubio are both Tea Party goons who ran on voting out incumbents..now look where they are..yep making a career out of it.

As a Hillary supporter, I don't think she'll play to the extreme base after nomination. Why would she? Dem left is stupid enough to be fed Bernie Sanders and actually buy any of it. Now a poll says they'll support her just as easily. They are pointless tools who just do whatever they're told. Hillary is a centrist democrat, and her centrist side will come out.

Look, for all the republican posturing, who actually balanced the budget? Who actually had a surplus? Center Democrat. It is safe to say Bill will be calling at least some of the shots.

Maybe if a real conservative with reasonable mind (read "any glimmer of intelligence") would stop shouting about made up men in the sky, stop funneling cash to the defense industry, and have any compassion for those pesky poor people, he could do the same. But it has never happened since Dwight fuckin Eisenhower.

A Trump/Cruz ticket would be tough to defeat. But I think she has a good chance.

Was just watching MSNBC and they were showing footage of Trump on Kimmel's show.
He said that the war in Iraq was totally wrong and we should have spent that money on our schools and infrastructure.

Said we wasted 5 Trillion dollars and all the lost lives and injured veterans. He said just imagine the good things that could have been done with all that money.

Yep. Sounds like a "Nazi" to me.

I think there is a lot of resentment in the media that Trump controls the news and story about Trump and they are forced to follow his lead and they've been baited by Trump into countless "gotcha" moments where he said something insane and they tried to come after him, but then he came out more popular as a result of their efforts. Just with his twitter account, he keeps them running in circles with 5,000,000+ followers, including everyone in the media.

Its quite amusing to me that all someone has to do is go in front of a camera and talk like an actual human being to be successful as a presidential candidate. Who'd have thunk it.....?

The funnier part is Jeb Bush spending millions and millions of dollars on "experts" who have made careers out of being "political advisers".

They script every word he says and he pays them dearly for it. And it all fails. LOL

What candidate do you agree with the most, if you only look at the facts, and not the form/presentation.

And does it differ from the one you think would be the best president?

One thing that told me early on that there was going to be a problem for other candidates was when Hillary had raised something like 28 million and spend 25 at that point and there was a similar story for others and Trump had raised 3 million, wasn't really spending anything and really was controlling all election news anyway. "he's a clown and won't even submit his paperwork because he only cares about PR" became "well, still... he's not going to do all the financial disclosures because he's not serious" became "well, he stands no chance and in 2 weeks, he's going to be forgotten about" and so on and so on and so on and no one has been right yet and have actually been wrong about every prediction. The crocketeers of the world are understandably anxious.

Democrat, Libertarian or Republican aside, i think any reasonable person has to understand that once he starts actually spending money, he can win. In the end, no one will be able to compete with him and as you said, when they try, it usually goes badly for them anyway.

If Trump becomes the Republican candidate and it's just a cold, humorless shrew vs colorful, outgoing, funny and straight talking, I don't think Hillary can win it. Most people (dems included) have shown in poll after poll that she's not trusted. Once the sights are on her and Trump is spending 9 figures to attack her, I think she'll lose most of her support quickly.

I don't agree with any of them.

I'm anti-war, anti-imperialism, pro-choice, pro-freedom, anti "war on drugs". I want a govt. that serves the people and doesn't RULE over the people.

In 2012 I registered as a Libertarian because I really agreed with Gary Johnson on most matters.
This year, they don't seem to be fielding any candidates worth a damn yet.

So my vote is up in the air. I don't think voting the "lesser of two evils" is a good thing to do either.

Trump interests me because he isn't controlled by the RNC or DNC or any of the super-donors.
He's like a unicorn and probably a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence.

Doesn't mean I agree with him though. I don't think we need a "wall". We fought the "Cold War" with the Soviet Union and the biggest day of that came when the "Wall" was torn down in Berlin. And now we want to build one ourselves?

I also don't think we need to spend even MORE on the military. We already spend more than the next 10 counties combined. It's a overbloated gravy train for defense contractors.

Want to know why we haven't took ISIS down (which our military could do in about one hour from start to finish)? Because it's being used to make people think we don't have a big enough military.

Did you hear the Republicans during the debate saying that we need to build the military up even more to deal with ISIS? WTF? We spend hundreds of billions of dollars every year on military (for no reason).

Fact is...ISIS isn't that big of a military force. They are poorly equipped. 1/10000 of our military could finish them off in about an hour.
It's ridiculous.

It's ridiculous.
It's entirely irrelevant that ISIS is poorly equipped...because ISIS is integrated into innocent Western civilian populations. That's one of their most powerful weapons against the West.

And ISIS is not directly fighting our military...so the fact that a fraction of our military could wipe ISIS off the planet in a direct confrontation also irrelevant.

No it just goes to further show, that once you start looking at non Republican voters.. Trumps numbers suck.. you have the number 2 or 3 guy back with in 1% of Trump when "everyone" is polled not just regestered Republicans.

As I've said all along Trump will not even come close to winning the election, even if he wins the Republican nomination.

But once again keep wearing your rose colored glasses and telling everyone who disagrees with you how wrong they are. Then come election time you can cry about it all being because of the liberal media..

The simple fact is as I've said from the start. Trump does not appeal to the majority of voters. His support is from the crazy base aND he won't grow it enough to make a difference.

Now go ahead, call me names and I will still be laughing my ass off at you Trumpeters come election day. You guys remind me of all those dumb Ron Paul supporters a few years back.

Right now it's 48 to 43 in the general election in favor of Clinton.

I don't know if those numbers "suck" as you are trying to say. But I do know that at one point it was Bush who had the high poll numbers in the Republican primary UNTIL Trump went after him.
Also Bush was losing in the general election polls at his peak 53 to 41. So Trump's numbers in the general polls are already higher than Bush's ever were.

And YOUR favorite news channel MSNBC reported that the MAJORITY of Trump's supporters are Moderates. Not the "Crazy base" you keep babbling about.

My point is...let the VOTERS decide. The media is trying to make up people's minds (it worked with you)...but most people aren't buying what they are selling anymore.

Just calm down Crocketteer. If you are so confident that you are correct, then you should be cheering Trump on to win the Republican nomination so your hero Hillary can wipe the floor with him.

But for some reason...you're doing just the opposite. I wonder why? lol

I do agree on that one thing.

But other than that, he's just another Republican. He won't do anything about the "War on Drugs" and the horrible toll it has taken on American lives by throwing more of our citizens in prison (the multi-billion dollar per year prison industry) than any country on Earth in all of history.

And he is anti-abortion, anti-PORN (you know, where we make our living), and pretty much toes that social conservative line right down the middle.

Actually I think you are misinformed about Rand Paul's stance on those issues:

Rand Paul on drugs:
Rand Paul on Drugs

Rand Paul on abortion: (he says abortion is not an issue for his presidential campaign. and said the States should have the right to determine abortion. That's not anti-abortion):
Pro-Life Activists React To Rand Pauls Comments On Abortion | The Daily Caller

And I haven't read anything suggesting Rand Paul is anti-porn. Maybe you have a link to support your claim?

I don't have any "claim".
I'm just telling you what I think.

To my knowledge NO major candidate with the exception of Gary Johnson in 2012 has ever said that they would work to get rid of the "Obscenity" laws that have unfairly put so many people in this industry in prison and ruined their lives.

Rand Paul is a Republican. He is from the bible belt. That pretty much says it all.
No Democrat or Republican has ever come out "for" the adult industry.

None of them have ever advocated a complete shutdown of the "War On Drugs" that was started by Richard Nixon.

Rand Paul has also been in the Senate for while now. He is part of the problem in my opinion.
But that's all it is, my opinion.

Why are you so interested in me anyway? I prefer to discuss what's going on with the actual people running for office, not sit around and humor you with your questions about my feelings.
Are you trying to fuck me or something? You'll have to at least buy me dinner first. lol

I don't have cable Robbie, so how could MSNBC be my favorite news channel... lol

I donto even know who the hosts are... which is the same for every news network.. other than annoying name like Glen Beck , Bill.O'Riley and maybe that guy who used to be the white house spokesman...

I don't watch news channels..I get news from the websites..

Also as I said before right wing crazies like yourself call themselves moderates.. Moderates don't support people who discriminate and want to turn the country into Soviet Era east Germany..crazies do..

You clearly claimed Rand Paul is anti-porn. Just because you are telling me you think Rand Paul is anti-porn, doesn't mean you did not also claim he is anti-porn. You did both.

I never inquired about your feelings.

You said you do not agree with any of them. Rand Paul is one of them. So I am curios as to the reasons you do not agree with Rand Paul. So far you have claimed Rand Paul will do nothing against the War On Drugs (even though he has done things against the war on drugs). You've claimed Rand Paul is anti-abortion (even though Rand Paul said abortion should be left up to the individual states to decide for themselves). And you've claimed that Rand Paul is anti-porn, though I have yet to read or hear anything Rand Paul has done to fight against porn.

So if you are truly interested to discuss what's going on with the actual people running for office, lets hear the reasons you don;t agree with Rand Paul.

Well...I've told you in several threads that they reported it just the other night (and they were shocked and not happy about it).

As for me being a "right wing crazy"...this isn't about ME. It's about the way the media is once again trying to manipulate the election.

But if it makes you feel smug and warm to try and make this about me...go right ahead. You aren't going to hurt my feelings or change the way I really think and feel.

Are you and that guy with the plum colored text both wanting to fuck me or something? Some kind of gay threesome?

Neither of you seem to be able to stay focused on the subject and instead seem to be super obsessed with me and what I think and feel.

Oh well...at least bring some lube...

I'm not "Claiming" anything. LOL!

You make it sound like I have stood up in the public square and called Rand Paul out and made some sort of accusatory "claims" against him.

I don't agree with him. Okay?

Stop obsessing. Get a hobby or something.

Yes you did make accusatory claims about Rand Paul. It's highlighted in red above.

You sure are annoying. You and crockett are simply deflecting away from the topic of the thread and turning it into another unreadable shitfest.

Congrats!

I don't believe Rand Paul will stop the War On Drugs. Okay? Done?

He is anti-abortion. Always has been. Just because you found an article saying that isn't the reason he's running for President doesn't change that.

He has NEVER (and no Republican or Democrat has EVER), publicly said they are "with" the adult industry and would work to have the Obscenity Laws removed from the books.

Now please go away and fuck up somebody else's thread with your insanity. You and crockett were meant for each other. lol

TRUMP: We can't afford to be so nice folks.
That is all Trump said -- I have the transcript (folks).
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/12/16/us...al-debate.html
The name "trump" was mentioned 23 additional times in the transcript so he was the man to beat.
Most mentioned:

The Islamic Terrorist State got 53 mentions!
Looks like The Islamic Terrorist State got a lot of free publicity in this debate of Republican Foreign Policy. The Islamic Terrorist State won :P Congratz

Is that what you took away from that?

Since ISIS was mentioned 53 times it "helped" them?

So I guess that MSNBC (which mentions ISIS every few seconds 24 hours a day) is also to be "congratulated" for helping ISIS?
How about CNN? Or Fox News? Or NBC? CBS? ABC?

One thing is for sure...Obama isn't "helping" them. He calls them "ISIL" and makes all his cabinet call them that too. lol

Obama was mentioned as often as Trump.

Mindless

In all fairness I will do the same with a similar subject Democratic debate. We can compare the respective scores.

Oh, so now you backtrack on your claims after I exposed them. For example, first you claimed Rand Paul is anti-porn. Now you are merely claiming Rand Paul is not "with" the adult industry. But just because someone may not be "with" the adult industry, does not mean they are anti-porn. You do understand that people can be neutral or indifferent to porn industry issues...right?

Are you "with" the kosher meat industry?? No you say?? By your logic, that means you are anti-kosher meats.

Why would it be "mindless" to talk about Obama in the Republican debate?

Are you aware of how many times the Democrats mentioned Bush in the 2008 Democrat debates?
I'm not sure where you are going with your line of thinking. The debate was themed as "National Security"
The number one issue right now is ISIS. And the Republicans (and majority of all Americans according to every poll) disagree with how Obama has handled the situation.

Makes sense to me that they would talk about the subject matter of the debate. Where do you find fault with that? Especially when the moderators were asking them the questions.

The media all declared John Kasich and Carly Fiorina the winners of the first debate:
GOP debate: Biggest winners, losers (Opinions) - CNN.com

A couple of days later the polls came out and the PEOPLE said Trump won.

You're so out of touch crockett. It's sad.
But Robbie here's the thing. None of them said anything substantial, and even worse, Fiorna flat-out lied, Chris Christie got his facts wrong, and Trump just says one stupid thing after another. This is beyond entertainment - this is a fucking shame. Try to understand that one of these batons may be in charge of your country next year. Do you really, really trust any of these idiots with that kind of responsibility?
