Yeah saw in the news they were working on it. The guy that championed the movement to get it illegal in the first place now owns a Boat load of domains for it and then started pushing to get it legal again.

Dont recall where I read that but will try and find it.

Eventually they will come to see poker as a sport. It even has its own World Series...

This was going to happen as soon as the big casino's had time to get in on the game.

Making it illegal was just a stalling tactic to allow them to put those out of business who were years ahead of the 'big boys'. Now that they have managed to crush a lot of them, and the major casino's have had a few years to play catch up, you can expect that all of those laws for online casinos and credit card restrictions will be repealed.

When it becomes legal, it will be world wide news. You'll be able to go to any major news outlet and it will be all over their home page.

So, do you see it on the homepage of any major news outlets? There is your answer.

The DOJ came out with the opinion that the Wire Act only applies to sports betting.
Basically online poker/casino gaming is no longer illegal unless a state has a specific law against it.
Nevada already has the regulations and framework in place for online poker as was just waiting on the DOJ's opinion.

If they have any kind of affiliate program, screw porn that's where the money will be.

My buddy said he saw it on Yahoo, of course it's not legal yet but supposedly it's a go once the legislation finishes the paper work. Time to try and snag some good gambling domains.

Sure
What it really means is - they will make it legal for the GOVERNMENT to run internet casinos

Read between the lines, especially when there are none.

Here's the opinion published by the DOJ.

I haven't read the full thing yet, but at first glance, it appears to pertain to state lotteries, and the idea of states selling lottery tickets online to residents of that state, and not to other forms of online gambling.

I wouldn't get too excited or jump to any conclusions about this opinion. It doesn't amount to a repeal of UIGEA, or anything close to such a sweeping change.
