My neighbor and best friend's dad owned a jobbing company (candy, cigs) for several towns. Good guy to know. Always had tons of candy over there plus supplied our teen parties.

In my poll we established Snickers is your fav American bar followed by Reeses PB Cup and then a Kit Kat then a Mars bar.

Tho some are not really bars I guess.

Followed by a Twix.

Those are good.

i think you have stories/products mixed up - M&M's were created for the US soldiers in WWII, the hard candy shell protected them from melting so made them a good snack for soldiers to pack. the idea wasn't totally Mars Candy's invention, he got the idea from a similar product in the Spanish Civil War.

I go back to nickle bars at the very beginning. Then dime in about 1973. Then quarter in about 1980. Now 85 cents a bar.
