It hurt my heart to watch this. Yes I know wrestling is fake blah blah blah. But this is pretty sad. I was a huge fan of this guy growing up. I loved his act. His swagger. His ability to really get a pop from the fans and entertain (that really is a gift even if its just to entertain morons). He was the best. I havent seen him or heard of him in over 10 years but I remember him as this larger than life entertainer. Disturbing the fall this guy has had in life.

Sad to see the real life of this guy. Its always sad to see someone fall from grace. Rock Stars, Athletes, Movie stars, and Wrestlers. Its the real life story of that mickey rourke movie The Wrestler.

Anyhow, for you old school Wrestling fans from the 90's (back when it used to be good and watchable) I thought Id show this video that is pretty well done by espn on Scott Hall

Vince McMahon is a complete piece of shit. How many hundreds of millions of dollars did he make off of guys like this and he doesn't even offer them health insurance, a pension, nothing. Figures his cunt of a wife would run for Congress on the Republican ticket. Those guys need to form a union.

Anyone remember the tag team combo: Gorgeous Bobby Heenan and Handsome Harley Race. The names are endless. Fun stuff when you are young. Add Larry Pretty Boy Hennig who was local actually.

I watched some of the 90s stuff like Ric Flair and Macho Man but I wasnt as in to it by then but they were pretty much old school still.

Really amazing how many pro wrestlers went on to tragedy before they hit 50.

Edit: Actually it was Larry Pretty Boy Hennig and Handsome Harley Race. Gorgeous Bobby Heenan was their manager. What a trio.

That's really fucking sad, I used to be a huge WWF fan when I was a kid. My dad would take me to all the events and knew someone who got us in to meet coco beware, the iron sheik and the junkyard dog, as a kid those guys were larger than life.

Years later I was at Solid Gold a strip joint in Montreal hanging out with some girls who worked there. There was a wrestling event in town and all the guys came into the club after, razor ramone was one of the only guys who left the vip area upstairs to go mingle with everyone in the club, he seemed like a great guy.

All those guys got smashed that night except Yokazuna who just sat on 2 chairs and stared at the stage lol.

good times! Sad to see what years of drug and alcohol abuse does to someone who seemed larger than life.

I stop at a carls jr every once in a while, the owner is the son of Gorgeous George.

It seems like a lot of these guys end up like this. Down and out with nothing. I saw a piece on Tony Atlas a few years back and how and he and several other guys who were at one time huge, major wrestling stars are now doing shows in a school gym for 30 people in hopes of making $50 and they have nothing to their name.

It seems like the perfect storm of wild lifestyle, not saving money and physical problems from years of beating up their body hit a lot of these guys. It is sad.

They're independent contractors. But, and I'm pretty sure it's in that video, Stephanie McMahon is asked about WWE paying for rehab for their wrestlers, and how much it costs WWE to do that.

When faced with court, he decided it was in his best interest to go to rehab. WWE is footing the bill for his rehab, even though he hasn't been inside a WWE ring for years.
