Every week it seems a new program is closing it's doors, or their affiliate program. Some are selling out completely, or just making announcements they are giving up and going mainstream full time.

It will be interesting to see who's left, and still makes it to Vegas this year.

If the EU shows are any indication, I am hopping it will be good. The shows are what you make of them. It's all about meetings and networking.

Was only in Prague at the European Summit, but I'm sure one can make a whole lot out of a show even if there wouldn't be a galore of huge all inclusive booths etc. like in the past.

Tube sites, with dating and cam sales people hiding behind the booth. When people walk by they can pop up in front of the booth with "special offers" ;)

Do many programs have booths at the shows? Last show I went to was 05 or 06. Even then it was only a couple programs, with the majority being billers/hosting/feeds.

Why? Are there some secret companies out there that are doing great and will only show up in L.A.?

I think some folks are going to come to Vegas to have a good time. I don't think there are enough companies left making any money to have enough ROI to make this a big extravaganza like the old days.

Or maybe Manwin will come in as a big sponsor and throw a party the way it used to be when there were lots of multi-million dollar companies attending.

Either way...I'll be lurking around. I doubt anybody there can make me a dollar. But if any of you actually have any stroke left and think you can do business...come over and talk to me. I'm always up for making money.

I want to say it was two years back, last one at the Palms, where the "show floor" was 90% processors or billing companies. It was truly a laughing stock.

Although last year's was pretty close by comparison. yeah your right. last year was my last time going to the shows. they were great years ago but a number of people I used to go with no longer go and is a waste of money for me as an affiliate

I think it'll be a good time. The Hard Rock is always a blast, even in the winter months...

I agree that shows are what you make of them. Sponsor booths are a waste of everyone's time anyway.

I can directly attribute a large amount of money to the connections I made at shows just meeting people face to face.

I wished Internext had some overlap with some of the other shows as there was in the past. It created more of a draw. Even when it overlaped with the AVN awards show for a day there was always the fun parties, or affialate summit (the year we were at the Venetian and the summit was next door was nice) or even CES made it good with some overlap. I hope Internext has enough of a draw for me to come. I say this every year and end up coming. But in the past there was always that overlap that did it for me. That and some exclusive dinners or gatherings.

Ill be keeping an open mind. I always love Vegas and I hope to come but we will see.
