Does GFY affect your posting style on other non adult forums?

Kinda spoilt here as far as being able to say what we want, are we not?

Example, the other day, I was on an HD TV Forum, and I got into a silly argument about something which was mostly semantics. I realized I had lost the argument, but of course, still kept going (Politely mind you) until I was in a corner and had nowhere to go...

So I just posted - 'Thats because you is a gay' and found myself banned for 2 weeks...

What mainstream type forums have you been banned from, despite trying to keep yourself in check?

At no point does the urge overcome me to post, "I like poo", or "I can't afford (fill in the blank)" for my time on a forum, or 90% of my messages.

I comment on things that are entertaining, interesting, or I have some thoughts or opinions on. I read more than I post regardless of the forum. That includes both adult and mainstream. The only difference is that some have stricter rules in regards to images, profanity, or subject matter you have to take into consideration.

i get bounced from mainstream forums all the time.. Not just for rude comments but usually if you argue someone against the wall and they are friends with a mod it isn't hard to get banned on those boards... They are far less diplomatic than they are around here that is for sure.

my gf got banned from a dog breeders forum once for just that.. hehe

I think it was tough for Trey to post on mainstream boards. I saw him on prosper.com 's board a few years back and he said "fuck" or "shit" and he got banned. lol. some places are more hyper sensitive than others.

Fair enough - Its the drink see. Thats not an excuse, just a fact. I mean right now I am lucid and 100% sober. But recently these periods have been less than usual and fewer and further between. When I actually stopped drinking completely (And had my nic changed) I stopped doing it completely... But I am slipping back to my old ways I suppose...

The smaller the board the worst it is. I don't put up with bullshit I don't care if it's business or personal. I was on this small weather forum run by 1 guy basically if you didn't like his opinion and disagreed with it, you were banned. Needless to say I lasted about 10 minutes.

Owning a forum or being a moderator of one is one of those power trips that most people can't handle. It makes the everyday Joe with a boring life feel like he is special and powerful. To many of these people get off on that, because their lives suck so they can go ban someone and it makes them feel like they all important and powerful now When it reality it just proves how pathetic their lives are.

I'll help other webmasters and reply to their posts when i see it. But then you get the trolls on here who either ridicule you for replying or what you said in your reply. My fav is the ones who reply back with one liners like " what do you know" or " you are wrong" . Nothing like replying with a nice long paragraph or two of me explaining something to someone trying to help them, with a troll commenting " you wrong". idiots...

Yep - I have noticed you and Lazycash gave some good feedback on the cam questions niche. Not many take the time to post anything useful in paragraphs or tips. Not much helping others going on here at ALL. Other webmasters would never tell you guys what is converting for them, just programs would say it but then it get's regarded as "spamming" anyway, much like "what do you know".
