he's worth 7 mil a year. buffalo just signed tyler myers for a bit over 5 mil a year and doughty's older and has more accomplishments.

doughty was the best defenceman on Canada's Olympic team.

No way he is worth 7 mil right now. Hes a very average defenseman right now stat wise. His numbers have gotten worse since his rookie year. He has alot of potential but that doesnt equate to 7 mil. Put up or shut up. Hes not Lidstrom. Hes accomplished nothing.. hasnt even been an allstar yet. Yeah he had a good olympics but he was also surrounded by the best p;layers in the world. Lets see him do that for a whole season, 2 seasons.

I haven't watched much hockey the last few years so I had no clue who these guys were until ESPN did a profile on them a few months back, they are actually pretty fucking funny. Since Dale Tallon completely overhauled the Panthers and brought back Jovo-Cop I'm going to have start watching NHL again...

yeah, this sounds way more like the truth in my eyes.. Any team would love to have him for sure, but two decent seasons offensively isn't worth 7 mill..

Coffey put up better numbers with one leg...
