truth of the matter is I almost died last night (true) in the middle of this thread. No bs.

I somehow (i swear i wasnt picking hard but somehow I ruptured the main artery behind my nose, i have picked waaay harder, i wasnt even really picken but i had my finger up there and somehow) The blood starred gushing. Not a common nose bleed. Way worse.

Went through 2 rolls of paper towels and about 20 mins later and I stopped it. Blood all over the bathroom. I must have lost over a cup, maybe a pint. Was getting scary.

The thing is it was coming too fast to get to the hospital which is 15 miles away. Plus I can not afford that stuff.

I would clog the nostril and it would gush down my throat.

What went through my mind (I swear to God this is true)

is I got my sig in order and I may not be back.

I thought maybe MP would maybe look up my name.

And you would here I was gone.

A thousand other things went thru too.

I then called my brother in Florida at 4:00 am after I got it stopped.

I have never had an (anterior) arterial nose bleed like this ever. They usually require hospitalization. But I hear that it happens from ages 2-10 and 50-80 and in the early morning where you can rupture the artery behind your nose.

Sorry kind of gory but ya know..

Anyhow ok now although I am taking it easy. Scary stuff man.

Anyhow rather than blab in a thread fig I would post here.

Maybe that is why i am on fire tonight. Ya never know. This is not trolling. You know me. I dont troll. I am honest.

Anyhow, felt like telling ya.

Alright! I am ok. A lil emotional. I almost died on 9-11 for goodness sake.

If ya dont stop the blood you have maybe an hour tops. I did get a lil dizzy.

I found out after reading how to stop even a serious nose bleed but it is scary stuff when you wonder what the f is happening.

Just so you know. To stop a serious nose bleed:

Sit up with a bucket under you or stand over a tub. Let your head down (not up.. up will cause you to swallow blood and you may not be able to breath as well)

squeeze the base of the nose (with a paper towel (best) plug in the bad nostril) with thumb and forefinger for ten mins. Do not let up. Spit any blood that comes in your mouth down or let it drain) Should stop it.

Luckily you usually will only bleed heavily from one nostril if it is an artery.

My father was doctor. Small town MD. He was killed in a car accident when I was 11. Anyhow as a kid I noticed he would put a kleenex over his pinky if he ever picked his nose (mornings).

Now I know why. He had seen many patients and knew the score.

Anyhow, now you know how. And so do I.

I somehow (i swear i wasnt picking hard but somehow I ruptured the main artery behind my nose, i have picked waaay harder, i wasnt even really picken but i had my finger up there and somehow) The blood starred gushing. Not a common nose bleed. Way worse. Went through 2 rolls of paper towels and about 20 mins later and I stopped it. Blood all over the bathroom. I must have lost over a cup, maybe a pint. Was getting scary. The thing is it was coming too fast to get to the hospital which is 15 miles away. Plus I can not afford that stuff. I would clog the nostril and it would gush down my throat. What went through my mind (I swear to God this is true) is I got my sig in order and I may not be back. I thought maybe MP would maybe look up my name. And you would here I was gone. A thousand other things went thru too. I then called my brother in Florida at 4:00 am after I got it stopped. I have never had an (anterior) arterial nose bleed like this ever. They usually require hospitalization. But I hear that it happens from ages 2-10 and 50-80 and in the early morning where you can rupture the artery behind your nose. Sorry kind of gory but ya know.. Anyhow ok now although I am taking it easy. Scary stuff man. Anyhow rather than blab in a thread fig I would post here. Maybe that is why i am on fire tonight. Ya never know. This is not trolling. You know me. I dont troll. I am honest. Anyhow, felt like telling ya. Alright! I am ok. A lil emotional. I almost died on 9-11 for goodness sake. If ya dont stop the blood you have maybe an hour tops. I did get a lil dizzy. I found out after reading how to stop even a serious nose bleed but it is scary stuff when you wonder what the f is happening. Thanks to my friends. You ARE my friends. To stop a serious nose bleed: Sit up with a bucket under you or stand over a tub. Let your head down (not up.. up will cause you to swallow blood and you may not be able to breath as well) squeeze the base of the nose (with a paper towel (best) plug in the bad nostril) with thumb and forefinger for ten mins. Do not let up. Spit any blood that comes in your mouth down or let it drain) Should stop it. Luckily you usually will only bleed heavily from one nostril if it is an artery. My father was doctor. Small town MD. He was killed in a car accident when I was 11. Anyhow as a kid I noticed he would put a kleenex over his pinky if he ever picked his nose (mornings). Now I know why. Plus I thought maybe something else happened and I was going to bleed to death. Now I know a lil more but yeah. It was right when I was replying to CS above. I still did reply but later. My first reply was better CS lol I HAD to ALSO get the place in order in case I really had to call an ambul LOL ;) Life is fragile man. It really is. Yeah I have layed off the Annies a lil more but only cause I discovered no-doze.. lol ya think that's bad? It is only 200 mg of caffiene maybe one/two a day.. no coffee. Better than coffee. Prob cheaper than coffee too actually. Thanks Spunky, yeah ya have to be cool. It WAS a good lesson. maybe I got lucky all these years.
