Looks like they just made Quake with modern era weapons..

Guess this means it's not gonna be much like the original Modern Warfare with the realism? Just a bunch of run and gun shit, with big explosions..Guess it will make the console kiddies happy, I'll stick to Red Orchestra 2 on the PC I think.

I'm a big COD fan, in fact, stopped playing Black Ops to come check the forum and some email just now. But, I have to say, this video wasn't impressive. Just some new skins, new maps, and new weapons. If anything, it seems as though it should be an xpac not a new game.

but if you like action and a rush rush rush situation then call of duty is way way better than battlefield

Indeed.

COD reminds me of old school games like Unreal, HALO etc where you get get in there and fuck shit up.

Though BF and COD are similar they really are Apples and Oranges in terms of style and the idea behind them.

I played a little here and there of previous versions, but I never owned a COD game or played enough to notice. Black ops was the first version I have owned and have spent a good amount of time playing. Perhaps if I would of spent the same amount of time with previous versions I would have come to this conclusion sooner.

But, looking forward, I'm not impressed.

TBH, if you played any of the other versions of CoD you should already expect rehashed stuff from them. CoD 1-3 were all the same game just a few new maps added. It wasn't until CoD 4 (1st Modern Warfare) that they broke their own mold and made something fresh.

They then did the same with MW2 by just rehashing stuff much like it appears they are doing now with MW3.

I will say when the first CoD came out it was pretty nice game compared to what had been released at the time, much the same as CoD:MW1 being a defiant game changer in that niche. After each of these they revert back to the quick money grabs.

You just use to COD, where theres no game play cause its the same junk as usuall. BF trailers are generally all game play and its a game thats build for PC, unlike any new COD product.

Call of Duty will never hold a candle to Quake 3. UT99 and Quake 3 Arena are the best mutliplayer shooter games ever, and nothing's even close. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

What's the exact model of the gfx card? 512MB is pretty low for this generation.

Yeah I saw the whole release at the COD XP event they had on Firday. It plays just like MW2 with some improvements. I like the whole idea that you have to play the objective to get killstreak rewards. Most players only play an objective based game like its TDM. I love that they ditched commando and last stand.

They get people hyped. Game trailers are big now, almost like a movie trailer. Some of them are pretty cool. I still like that Halo Reach trailer.
