Hey,

Anybody know of a way to have XP play a sound, or perform an action when a password is mistyped? I want to have a sound played when someone incorrectly enters a password coming back from my screen saver (people over here, don't want them using my computer). Any ideas on how to do something like this?

..tried "Control Panel" / "Sounds and Audio Devices" / tab "Sounds"?

yes. But I only know how to do it from DOS.

open a dos promt, and type:
Format C:

That will get you to the root dir. Then type.
C:/windows/admin/settngs/screen-saver/options/sounds/enable=yes

then just go back, and set the proper sound.

Extreme, nothing in there about messing up from a screensaver password...the only thing is the critical stop beep - but that's for a lot of things.
