OJ Confesses He Killed Wife and Ron Goldman

oh lord, i hope this is true. there's a rumor that OJ Simpson is a huge Oprah fan and the only way Oprah would ever interview him is if he confessed to the killings and he's contacted Oprah and told her he's ready to confess in an exclusive interview - to this, that he killed his wife Nicole and Ron Goldman in SELF DEFENSE

please let it be true, i want to hear how those two people attacked him and how he had to fight for his life by chopping off Nicole's head.

my theory has always been this. O.J. knew that his ex wife was sleeping with dudes on his property. He also knew that she owed money to the columbian cartel on a drug debt. So he didnt pay the debt and they killed them. I think that's why the glove did not fit him. funny no dna was extracted from the glove!

don't they have a rule down there in the states where if you go to trial for a crime and you are found not guilty by the court, that they cannot reprosecute you for the same crime?

um.........there is no secret.... that's why i hope this is true, because OJ is endlessly entertaining. the entire world knows why and how he killed two defenseless people and if this rumor is true it shows he's just as big an idiot now as he was back then when he was claiming he was hunting down the real killers.

It's a fake rumor.

Two things.

First, he's 63 serving out a 33 year sentence, if this were true he would likely be spending the rest of his life in jail regardless.

Second, he's protected under double jeopardy, which means he can't be tried for the same crime twice. He was planning on releasing a book called, ?If I Did It." where he would ?hypothetically? draw out how he would've gone about murdering Nicole and Ron.

Not that law.

It's roots are in the Fifth Amendment to the Unites States Constitution;

?[N]or shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb.?

Already ruled on by the Supreme Court, so it would NEVER be brought in-front of a judge.

Anyways, it's necessary to prevent the government from prosecuting a defendant numerous times until they get the result that they are after.

The government should not prosecute a case until they are sure that they have all the evidence needed to secure a conviction. Accordingly, ?double jeopardy? only comes into play when the government failed to do their job the first time around....

yeah i thought it was probably a fake rumor - i want it to be true though.

i followed that story from beginning to end, from breaking into Monday Night Football with the Ford Bronco chase until the verdict. i grew up a Buffalo Bills fan near Buffalo, he was a big part of my childhood.

the world was different then, there was no Internet, people became obsessed with following the trial and all the characters in it. maybe it was the first reality TV show.

2 year probation for being convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping?

Look up the law, the minimum sentence for armed robbery alone is 15 years in most states. No one gets 2 years probation for committing a crime of that magnitude.

If they wanted to fuck over OJ, they could've easily back in 2001 when he was arrested for battery, burglary, possession of ecstasy and money laundering. The mother fucker is a career criminal bound to spend the rest of his days in prison.

You cannot be dragged into criminal court for the same crime twice. PERIOD. It doesn't matter if he shows a district attorney the murder weapon, the murder case will never be brought in-front of a judge again.

Civil suits for compensatory damages are completely different.

No you are wrong. You're not even American so don't come here trying to tell us American about our fucking laws. FACT. I could kill someone go to trial be found not guilty and immeidately admit to doing the murder and there's not a damned thing anyone can do about it.

That was a CIVIL case not a CRIMINAL case and that involved MONEY not jail

Sorry, but that is not correct. You cannot be tried for the same crime twice, NO MATTER WHAT. If there had been a mistrial then that would have been one thing, but once there is a verdict and you are found innocent, then it's done. If you are found guilty, and then new evidence emerges, you can appeal your conviction, but once you are found innocent, then there is never anything that can be done to you regarding that crime by the justice system.

The civil trial is a completely different matter. Anyone can sue anyone else for anything at any time. Essentially it's a private matter, and it has nothing to do with the justice system.

I did not follow the case closely but from recollection he and a few tough guys walked in a hotel room and demanded OJ's shit. One of them had a gun and it was unclear if it was ever pulled. Words were exchanged and they left.

The charges he was convicted of was such a stretch and was justified by the jury because he got off killing 2 people.

If the case is dismissed, mis-trials, or certain other circumstances, then new evidence means new trial. After the words "not guilty" are read, that's it. It's over.

I was fascinated by the OJ trial and I would record it on 8 hour tapes while at work and watch them all night and weekends. It was pretty interesting, but the police simply screwed up too many things like chain of custody and simple procedure things like logging in and out of the evidence room.

It's never smart to pick up a pair of shoes from a suspect and throw them in your trunk along with a vial of blood from the suspect, drive the car home and park it overnight instead of booking the evidence, then magically a drop of blood appears on the shoes. Jury's dont dig that shit whatsoever. That was detective Van Atters worst moment I think.

And remember criminalist Dennis Fung? He testified precisely how many bags and boxes of evidence he'd removed from the home, then the defense pops up with a video tape from a news cast showing him removing more stuff than all his testimony said. Again, shoddy work undid their whole case.

Then of course there was the racist cop who took the 5th when asked about using the n word regularly.

What a case that was. Some of the most gripping tv ever if you're a nerd.

He was convicted unanimously by a jury. Claiming it was because of his previous acquittal is a stretch. That's not how our justice system works, (even though it seems reasonable).

There was a lot of evidence and a long drawn-out investigation before he was ultimately tried and convicted.

There is some controversy that he may have been setup in-regards to the video evidence, but it's just that, controversy. In the end, people have been convicted with a lot less evidence. OJ was even granted a rare "after-the-fact" hearing in supreme court 3 years after he was convicted.

No doubt Shapiro and Cochrane made the LAPD and all the state's witnesses look inept but no other jury other than that one would have come back with a not guilty verdict.
A hundred million or more people watched the same court proceedings the jury did and would have no trouble finding OJ Simpson guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Cochrane knew who he was playing to, all the other testimony and evidence was unnecessary, it really did come down to Cochrane's brilliant simple minded 'if the glove doesn't fit you must acquit'. That's all that jury needed.

He got away with murder, two of them.

Hey Ruth,

I think you're thinking "Double Indemnity" which means if you are convicted of a crime you can't be convicted of the same crime twice

Double jeopardy rule still in effect. If this rumor is true, it's probably to pimp a book.

He will probably write a book and auction off the murder weapon on Ebay.

i don't know the legal system very well but if he confessed to killing them in self defense , could they not try him for manslaughter or some other lesser charge ?
