Email Campaigns

What are the standards for open and click rates? Last one I sent was 11.9% opened and 4.2% clicked thru. Per 1000 that is 119 opening the newsletter and 42 clicking thru.

How many days/hours are you pulling those stats from?

If less than a day, I would say it's not bad.

your subject will play a huge roll if you weren't aware in the open rate.

the click rate will be based on your message.

so really you are supposed to split test a bunch of subjects, test the open rates, then run the top 1-3 of the subjects

No, should only really use opt-in lists though, then you know the people receiving them wanted to get them.
