Just saw THOR, and ...

Just saw THOR, and ...

meh...!

It was ok but couldn't really get into it. Looks like they blew the budget on Nathalie Portman (hottie). A few laughs, ho hum action, ho-hummier FX. The best part is the very last scene AFTER the end credits which most of the audience in the theatre I saw it in were clearly waiting for.

Oh and don't bother seeing it in 3D. There's none to be seen. I don't know for sure but it looks like it was shot in 2D and then some 3D-ness was added in post. Lame.

I thought Thor was great. But Iron Man was better.
Can't wait for X-Men and Captain America

Thor is very good. The 3d was not that good and waste of energy and $

But Thor is good, don't fool yourself.

Thor was pretty good. Not great. But better than recent super hero flicks.

Looking forward to the new superman next year.

Loved it ! Then again I can just surrender myself to a movie without switching into movie critic mode and looking for reasons to dislike it.

Actually, I'm really good at doing just that - "enjoying" a movie and ignoring plot holes, bad fx or other things. For example, HULK with Eric Bana, is one of my all time favourite movies and definitely my favourite Marvel movie, even though people picked at questionable quality FX and other weirdnesses.

To me though, Thor felt more like a low budget test, or as a reason to explain or flesh out the character of Thor for upcoming movies like The Avengers.

Then again movies I tend to dislike at first I flip-flop on and learn to appreciate later. HANCOCK for example sucked at first, but after watching it a second and 3rd time I grew to really appreciate and enjoy.

I enjoyed Thor, I think Captain America will be better. I think IronMan is better, though I didn't like the second one as much as the first. I loved the last Hulk movie. When they do the Avengers movie, I'll be there opening night.

So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
think about that

I liked Thor alot. They did an excellent job developing the character in a single movie. Doubt that the majority of people knew anything about the Thor character, same with Iron Man. As opposed to Batman and Superman where EVERYONE knows their stories. Didn't like Hulk with Eric Bana. The one with Ed Norton was a bit better but overall I don't care for the Hulk character. IMO Iron Manis the best modern surperhero that no one cared about. Robert Downey turned that character into gold.

Interested to see how Captain America turns out. He's another character I could give 2 shits. Even if it sucks I'll watch is and all superhero movies. I'm very happy they're making movies for characters both mainstream and obscure.
