To me though, Thor felt more like a low budget test, or as a reason to explain or flesh out the character of Thor for upcoming movies like The Avengers.
Then again movies I tend to dislike at first I flip-flop on and learn to appreciate later. HANCOCK for example sucked at first, but after watching it a second and 3rd time I grew to really appreciate and enjoy.

I liked Thor alot. They did an excellent job developing the character in a single movie. Doubt that the majority of people knew anything about the Thor character, same with Iron Man. As opposed to Batman and Superman where EVERYONE knows their stories. Didn't like Hulk with Eric Bana. The one with Ed Norton was a bit better but overall I don't care for the Hulk character. IMO Iron Manis the best modern surperhero that no one cared about. Robert Downey turned that character into gold.
Interested to see how Captain America turns out. He's another character I could give 2 shits. Even if it sucks I'll watch is and all superhero movies. I'm very happy they're making movies for characters both mainstream and obscure.
