Jews never refuse anyone that truly wishes to convert to being a Jew, but they NEVER go out trying to find converts either. People have to come to them completely on their own. That's another reason for their low numbers... They don't advertize like the other religions have done! :-)

three main reasons, I think:

1. Supposedly we killed Jesus (Even though it was actually the Roman/Italians, but Emperor Constantine made sure that the story was as skewed towards the Jews as possible, since the Romans didn't want to look bad and the locals in Judea were a pain in his ass). Expulsion of Jews from Spain and Italy

The victory of the Catholic monarchs over the Muslims in Spain set off a wave of religious intolerance that lead to the expulsion of the Jews from Spain.
