Everytime I send an email, I get a form letter response from a staffer

I think mine are valid, ok well making fruit flavored rolling paper illegal is kinda petty

you'll have to start using tietime lines then about tax cuts

Yes there is job creation, but there is also job lose, thats why we are at 9% still

Over the years I have made it a practice to let my Congressman know my thinking about this or that...and yes it is the staff that reads the mail...emails...and takes the phone calls but they let their boss know what his constituents are saying about this or that...and one complaint...much like the samples of 1000 people...or so...in polls represents x number of people...so staying in frequent contact with your Congressman is an important thing to do.

Only on one occasion after multiple letters and phone calls...about an intervention I was doing on behalf of a former comrade in arms who was still on active duty and was facing a Court Martial...which were intercepted by staff...did the staff actually put me on the phone with the Congressman. He took control of the situation and intervened with the military and the Court Martial was dropped...but unfortunately my friend was denied reenlistment when his current enlistment expired...he had intended to be a career soldier.

News flash unemployment is never going down. Mcdonalds and walmart can only hire so many people. Lol this is the new normal get used to it and hope some radical doesnt come in and make online porn job one. They will keep lower taxes on the rich and big corporations while sticking it in the ass of the fading middle class. And the scary part is people like vend will keep voting against their own best interest while they get fucked in the ass deeper and deeper.

You are wrong...they do give a damn...as most of them want to be reelected and unless one is going to become a political activist it is the only way a person can effectively protest issues. I seriously doubt that one in ten thousand have ever actually contacted their representative and just prefer to complain to the wind...and this is one of the reasons why Americans have the government that we have.

He does most of what he says he will do. I've said it before and I'll say it again: He plays a long game.

What has he said that he hasn't done that you liked in particular that bothers you?

I think your right. I think that no matter what the Republican party put forth, they would have lost only because of the past eight years under Bush. I think McCain was a scapegoat. I was surprised it was as close as it was really.

I also think the Republican party knew this and wanted to loose, knowing that the next four - eight years are going to suck donkey balls no matter which side is in office.

I love the comments about how Obama promised to change this and fix this. That's call politics, get used to it.

I think he played the game thinking the natural outlook was better than forecasted and that the future will pay for it.

You mean like people will not have to change their current healthcare insurance? I have a lot of people that it's already changed and it's not even in effect yet.

My buddy works for Coca Cola, it's union and they had to change their insurance coverage a few months ago.

I would ask you the same question but we both know the answer to that one, especially when you attempt to sound intelligible. I find it humorous. Oh btw, why not blame the guy who took a shitty economy and made it worse? Man you're a moron rofl.:1orglaugh

TheDoc 05-07-2011 03:49 AM

Hogwash....

Shooting in 4 countries? Come on, lame twist. How about at war with 1 country, ended an illegal war with another, in a conflict, and worked with another to get a person the entire Country wanted.

btw, Reagan had far more bullets in Countries that Obama has, by 3 times. Not that it makes a difference, unless it's a Republican in power.

It costs 800b a year to run this boat, and Obama directly has spent less than 800b. Saying the debt went up under his watch is like saying he breaths air.

Record gas prices happened in 09, we haven't reached the point again. Now if you're going to blame him for the increase, then you should credit him with the largest drop in 5 years as well.

Outside of that the markets have grown, rather than shrank like they did the previous 10 years. The economic drop was stopped, which was being said was the next depression. Actually, even jobs and housing stopped it's major drops, prob will drop again but at least it quit from its depression like speeds. That's before all the civil stuff he's done, tax code work, shit the list is so long I couldn't list it all.

It's not like Obama has done only bad...

$250k will buy a house anywhere. Around $250k in Texas will get you a mini mansion

Where do you live. I've seen nice 4 bed room houses for like $80,000 in many states now. There's crazy good deals out there in realestate.

Some peoples comments I just don't bother to read, but if proven wrong, I learn from that, in this thread the ones that are posting against me are not debating, but merely putting a label on me and quietly hoping no one will call them on it.

Who would bother to debate you? I mean really...

If anything, a quick peek at years of your daily political posts will show your bull headed bias. Historically, your prejudices are crystal clear and it's more than obvious that you will never change your position, nor are open minded in the least to the views of others on those political topics. Especially in regards to Democrats/liberals/particular issues.

People would be better off debating a cat in their back yard.

Right.

We have a ton of lakes around here, but traditionally those houses (even the small ones) go for $300-500k+. I was skimming over the real estate website the other day and you could get a 5BR, 3000+ sq feet, 2 BATH for $159k on the lake. That is one fucking sweet deal! There were plenty of others, but they were more cottage type on the lake. But you could get some of those in the low $100k's as well.

Definitely some sweet deals to be had.
:thumbsup

Thanx for proving my point, you are not debating the thread , but attacking me.
I have no prejudices, just ideals.

As for years? Been debating politics for less than 2, I wasn't allowed to talk politics during my tenure as moderator here.

I fail to see where I would be considered anything but open minded, the only time I show any bull headed ideals is when I am debating someone that has gone off topic, like you.

I already provided an answer. You refused to accept it.

No one is attacking you. I am simply "calling you on it" as you like to put it. You are not even close to objective on the subject of politics. Your positions are crystal clear on where you stand. TheDoc, among many others have provided you facts in many of these threads, and you still refuse to change.

You can call it whatever "terms" works for your delicate sensibilities.. prejudice, ideals, ethics whatever. None of that changes my original point. You are not neutral, non-partisan, open minded, nor are you going to waiver from your beliefs no matter how many times you are bitch slapped with facts to the contrary. That's clear.

As I said previously, if you want to spend your time debating politics with pornographers be my guest. That does not bother me as I rarely read the threads. Just do not try and give the impression you are impartial and 'just stating facts' when those 'facts' and the selective slant are really just to serve your agenda or 'ideals'.
