What Charities do you support?
Recently I attended an information meeting on an organiztion called Kidsave. www.kidsave.org
I found the meeting to be compelling, heartbreaking and wanted to get involved. The statistic are gruesome: Large Percentage of Foster Kids end up in Prison High Percentage end up commiting suicide or becoming homeless. What kidsafe has earned is that a positive influence in a foster childs life can make a world of difference and change that childs life forever. If you ever thought about "giving back" this is a great way to do it .... you can donate, advocate or actually get involved.

My friend owns a no kill shelter and I donate food and money but unfortunately I don't give up time to go and help I feel bad about that but it's 50 miles away.

Every year my wife and I donate to the Lupus Foundation of America. My wife's brother died from it when we first met.
It was amazing really. I only met him once, and he was in the hospital. I walked in and said "Hi, how are you?". He replied "Well, yesterday I lost my left leg and two days before that I lost my right leg, but so far today is looking pretty good". Holy shit.
