I am redoing a site ( they take care of kids daytime - garderie here .. not sure in english ) .

They had got the domain name ' included' with the yearly hosting ... Got a better domain name, but still wanted to keep the old to redirect ...

What a nightmare .... Called in to get monthly bill and cgarged 12.99 for the domain : they ended up suspending the account ... because of non-payment from the client .. but they never issued the new invoices ...

Anyway, new site is near finished and they will be history ...

So yes, keep them separate .

webair sucks for registering domains...the day they expire it goes into redemption period and they want 60 bucks. even godaddy gives you a couple weeks after expiry to renew.
