I've been in the corners lurking and learning. My name is Kiki and I'm the owner of Pornogoddess.com As a warning, this is long winded, I just need to vent!

I'm currently with CertifiedHosting.com on a shared server with their nerd plan. I am aware that this is far below my needs of a plan as a Tube site. I spoke to them of my needs prior to hosting with them and they told me the shared plan would be enough to get me started with building the site, adding files and doing a small beta test with a small amount of users.

My ordeal follows, if you don't want to read, the gist is: I need a new host.

They switched me from one server to another on Wednesday night, without telling me. They had sent an email on Monday saying that they would be switching servers in the near future and they would send me an email to let me know when it was happening, so I didn't update. They never sent the second email. By doing this, at the same time I was updating, the sync from one server to another did not complete correctly. They transferred 30GB of my 150GB of files and made the switch. Needless to say, all my sites were down. It took them over 12 hours to "fix" this. The quotations are because half of the videos were missing. All of my custom .php settings were gone. This morning I spent my time deleting the videos and thumbs that were half there and causing new uploads to fail. After doing that and everything running fine for an hour, I was greeted with a 500 Internal Server error.

Long story short: I need a new host. I thought I did my research, but their tech support is not with it, at all. If I posted the emails, you'd laugh! I wrote an email telling them that many of the files were missing and I couldn't get into my admin panel, their response "Videos load fine, what's the problem?"

Ok, end of my wall-of-text.

I'd agree - if I didn't tell them what I was going to do beforehand. I spoke to multiple people to confirm they were ok with it. They wanted to start me there til I actually had the site built and ready, then there plans were to transfer it. Regardless, I'm not complaining that the site was slow. I'm complaining because there were huge lapses in their support. That makes me scared to move to anything else.

Not sure why that's "fucking retarded."

if you want to work with the very best hosting company take a look at Cyberwurx I have been with them since 1999 and have had the best service. I have tried many others also and have stuck with these guys.

Get a dedicated box , and get management included as I feel you are not knowledgeable enough to take care of a dedi box ( no insult here, just plain facts ).
Make sure to get a control panel for day to day tasks.

Check out Amerinoc, they handle my entire business both adult and mainstream. They have excellent VPS packages and thereafter dedicated servers of course. They will move your entire site and everything for free and has support which is of very high class.

You know their address already, but if you're lazy you can always click it here below in my signature. Being one of the top hosts, with very few if any complaints, you owe it to yourself to at least check them out. Good luck!

I have a couple of dedicated boxes and shared accounts at most of the hosts mentioned here (apart from Webair). And I would say that even the best support can sometimes fuck up. Not that that helps.

As Certified have already migrated your sites to the dedi box (even if they did fuck it up), I would stick with them for now, because I'm betting that your post here has got things moving better.
Once they have sorted out the mess and your site is running smoothly, then you can test if their support is still not up to your expectations (in my experience, it's patchy) and if necessary you can move on from there.

I appreciate that you moved me to the new server. Unfortunately, the site is down, again. I could not have done anything to cause this, as I put the site down in order to not use up resources on the holding server.

It wasn't me going over the resources this morning that was the issue, I understand that and expected it. It's been Tech Support as a whole. Kacey and yourself have done nothing but treat me wonderfully. I understand that things go wrong. It's how a problem is dealt with that keeps a customer, though.

I thank you all for your help and appreciate all of your suggestions.

It's nice knowing I can come here and get such wonderful responses! I'll be going over everything and determining the best fit for me.

Pay an admin and get a dedicated or get a dedicated box that is managed and don't try to do shit yourself on your main server.

Learning to admin or configure sites/scripts and stable hosting of your main sites do not always go hand in hand.

cyberwurx is the best host I have had as far as uptime and I have never had as quick and professional customer service.

I have no stake and am with another host for different reason, but they are very good.

Seems, according to your post, that site(s) are still down.

It wasn't me going over the resources this morning that was the issue, I understand that and expected it. It's been Tech Support as a whole. Kacey and yourself have done nothing but treat me wonderfully. I understand that things go wrong. It's how a problem is dealt with that keeps a customer, though. I thank you all for your help and appreciate all of your suggestions. It's nice knowing I can come here and get such wonderful responses!
