Do you want United States to go to war ?

ok, simple question: do you want US starting a war with Iraq ?

State your reasons.

I personaly dont want US starting a war because i live in Europe and get payed in US Dollars. Its inevitable that USD will loose its currren position if the war starts.

No. There is no reason to go to war with Iraq.
They have done nothing in over 10 years.

War sucks....especially when it is based on greed.

I think Saddam needs to be taken out.. He's a scum bag that needs to be hung up by the balls.. But what I hear from the Middle East experts is that a war in Iraq could plunge the region into chaos and even cause more wide spread terrorism across the globe..

The regional and global repercussions of an attack on Iraq will be grim. War will unleash powerful resentment from Iraq's neighbours, and strengthen the US' enemies. It will negate whatever gains have been achieved in the so-called 'war on terror,' convincing many that the US is invading Iraq without a casus belli or provocation. The Palestinian crisis will further worsen (if that's still possible). The Middle East could plunge into unprecedented turmoil and violence. Zionist and Islamic fundamentalists will be the principal beneficiaries -- and soon, their rivals from other religions. The US will have established that 'Might is Right,' with unspeakable consequences for the structure of multilateral institutions. This structure has evolved over two centuries through nation-states voluntarily abridging absolute sovereignty. The undermining of multilateralism spells anarchy, chaos and brigandage.

I say fuck Bush and his Oil war..

Yes it is! If Iraq had NO oil, would the U.S. care? WW2 is long gone, let go of the past! This is the present, and it is all about oil, baby. Don't let the media or gov't brainwash you. There are other countries that have their own Saddam's, but they don't have the oil Iraq does. This isn't about terrorism, this isn't about religion, it isn't about world peace. It is about oil.

Finally! An island of reason in this sea of pacifists. Pay attention person. He/she obviously knows what the conflict is actually over. The whole oil argument is ridiculous. Learn what the Iraqi regime is about and you too will not only be supportive of a war in Iraq, but praying for one.

No. 1937 one well trained division could have stopped Hitler. He had started murdering his own people back then like Saddam Hussein is doing now. But! As now, peace to all costs. When Saddam or North Korea hasfired the first nuke into another country everyone will start yelling for help from America. But until then it is obviosly all right to call Bush bad things. It is a shame that it needs an European to support America here.

FUCK 'EM... TURN IRAQ INTO GLASS.

i'm tired of hearing all the anti-war crap. don't get me wrong, i don't like war. but i like driving my car, running my own business, being able to vote. i like being able to own firearms. yeah, i'm pissed off about the terrorist thing, and i think saddam helped it. he breaks the rules, and is gunning for us. listen to the other middle east countries, they say it too.

and so what if a big part of this has to do with oil? i guess you wouldn't give a fuck if you couldn't drive your car, your flowers and magic carpet will get you everywhere. maybe you don't think plastics are anything important, either.

is there not still merit in protecting our way of life? that should be our foremost concerns in all this. this may have to do with oil, but it also has to do with protecting our country.

you know, i think there are a lot of anti-war people that use peace as a front for their fear of being drafted. i don't want it to happen, but look at all those that did before us to preserve our way of life...

from cnn: "He is delaying. He's deceiving. He's asking for time. He's playing hide-and-seek with inspectors," Bush said. "One thing is for certain, he's not disarming. And so the United States of America, in the name of peace, will continue to insist he does disarm, and we will keep the pressure on Saddam Hussein."

Now can anyone please tell me, where is the proof behind this statement? Proof that he is not disarming. I do not trust Bush.

So basically you want the united states to allow Iraq and others to do as they want, (terrorism and nukes) just so you can keep your current income.

Hardly the noblest of reasons.

Well, skip ahead to the chapter about Pearl Harbor to see what happened to the last big shots that started a fight with us. We slapped those little monkeys all over the South Pacific.

Hitler tried to get us too, but he turned out to be a lot of talk and a funny moustache. He finally took the coward's way out.

General Santa Ana and his boys started jacking around with us at the Alamo. Now his descendants mow our lawns.

Laugh it up chuckles. Maybe we will throw a little collateral damage your way while were at it.

I agree. Level those fuckers! If I can't drive anymore I will be pissed! If US cared about human rights, they wouldn't want a war and risk killing millions of innocent people. Oh, collateral damage, hahaha....yeah right. Free Iraq, Free those massive oil deposits! If Saddam doesn't torch 'em first! I suppose the Persian Gulf war was about human rights, anti-terrorism, too? lol....

that's the exact reason the US wants to attack, or did that fact completely bypass your tiny intellect?

The main reason you dont and wont see much "proof" is that they really cant show what intellegent(sp) they have. It would surely end that source. just think, We have some ground pictures taken of shells being placed in underground bunkers, as soon as we show the pictures then Iraq knows where and who took them, that source is now dead.

it's not really the oil so much(we/USA only import about 10% from that region. It's more to do with a leader in postion that has used(will use again) chemical agents on his own people. Once you start gasing your own people most everyone knows your a nut and need to be replaced.

Iraq is NOT cooperating with the UN inspectors. Iraq has repeatedly violated the terms of the UN agreement. There is no reason NOT to attack them right now. NONE! PLEASE read the news before deciding that Bush is lying.

knowing the usual accuracy of US bombing campaigns, you're probably right. even though I'm thousands of miles away

I never said I thought Bush was lying. Try reading yourself.

What bothers me is that if Iraq has repeatedly violated the entire United Nations, why does it seem as though its left up to the US to enforce this?

What about all those other countries? They're not all just chopped liver ya know. This is the exact arrogance that causes people to hate Americans.

Saddam Hussein isn't even close to being a Hitler. The US does not want to invade Iraq because Hussein is a dictator. Nonsense. It is merely an excuse, just like Bin Ladden was used as an excuse to go into Afghanistan, and Milosevic was used as an excuse to bomb Yugoslavia. It's Realpolitik pure and simple.

OBL was just an excuse?

So what exactly did we get out of Afghanistan? Their gems and jewels? Hell, I would love to get some of those, but I don't think we ever did or ever will.

It's a global chess game my friend. Afghanistan has always been part of the Russian sphere of influence. The US would have never been able to put troops on the ground in Afghanistan without starting a major conflict with Russia. September 11 was the perfect opportunity for the US to establish a permanent military presence in Russia's back yard.

You said:
"Now can anyone please tell me, where is the proof behind this statement? Proof that he is not disarming. I do not trust Bush."

Do you not understand what you are typing?

Who cares about other countries? If we rely on other countries to back us up, things will get out of hand while we wait. If you want a job done right, you have to do it yourself. Why do you care what other countries think of the USA? Let them hate us. Next time there is a tyrant in their neighborhood, guess who they will come to for help? Do you know which country I am talking about? Here's a hint. It's initials are "U.S.A.".

Asking for proof is now considered 'calling someone a liar now?'

Keyboard war strategists make me google, I mean giggle, time to get back to work.
