temporary issue for one reactor. the seawater flooding already worked for reactor #1 and from what i've gathered from several sources, has always been a part of the strategy to cool the cores. it kills the reactor though, i.e. $ billions lost x ever reactor.

believe they're pulling those numbers from the original nuclear attacks.. something like 10% died over long term from exposure (population of west coast about 47 million)

seems far fetched, i agree, but from what i have read things don't actually get fully reported
