Just hit Youtube and search "lockpicking" I made a torsion wrench with a hair clip, then a pick and rake out of some paper clips in about 5 minutes. In under an hour I annihilated a dozen or so different pad locks I have kicking around, and both doorknobs locks on my place. After that I built a little sturdier torsion wrench by filing down a allan wrench. The deadbolt took a little more practice as is has a couple extra pins, but fuck, anyone should be able to teach themselves easily...
Start with pad locks. You'll get an idea how to feel your way around with easier success. Try a smaller pad lock with 3 pins and you should pop your first lock within 5 minutes just raking the chamber. I ordered a $200 set of picks online and am waiting for them to come in the mail now. Being the paranoid, doom prophesizing Jew that I am, I figure it's not a bad skill to have under your belt...
Edit: You want to see something even trippier that'll show you just how weak home security is. Youtube "lock bumping"
